So - Are the Gators winning this thing this year or not? Dumb baseball fans like me want to know! I know very little about baseball, other than the baseballs are hard and they usually hit them with aluminum bats! Will we do it? Gotta get those bats hot! Go Gators!!!
In football the best team almost always wins. In basketball the best team usually wins. In baseball the worst team can often beat the best team. Baseball is just too random to guarentee victory. Being really good only skews the odds in your favor.
8 team tournament. These are all very good teams at this point. They’re being asked to use their team in a much different way than they have all season long. Most of these teams have 3 pretty good weekend arms, but who has that 4th or 5th guy that can get them through 6-7innings? Who has the young bullpen guy who’s ready to emerge and get their team over the hump? It’s anybody’s ball game from here on out. You better be clicking on all cylinders and you better be ready to face some adversity…..and hope for a little luck.
