I was watching Kansas State’s exhibition game on ESPN+ a little while ago, and Ques might have blown out his knee.

He wasn’t touched. He took a jump shot, came down normally, tried to run, couldn’t, and limped off the court in the first half. He didn’t return. I don’t know whether it was the same knee that he injured last season.

I am hoping it turns out not to be serious. I do wonder whether he had knee surgery after last season. He had one or more torn meniscus, missed about 14 games last season and was limited in several others. Nevertheless, he still made 2nd-team All-Southern Conference. If the treatment was rehab rather than surgery, the problem might have recurred last night. He looked like one of the best players on Kansas State in his 7 minutes of action ( 5 points and 3 assists). Kansas State opens against USC in Las Vegas in a few days. I was looking forward to watching that game.

Damn. I hate to hear that. I’ve read thru several write-ups… and nothing on Ques. Hopefully that suggests it is not a significant injury.

And so it begins. Three years and three schools later, another season of Ques Glover updates.

Seriously, wish Glover the best. A bit surprising he chose Kansas St being they previously signed Tylor Perry out of the portal and also brought in a top guard from the high school ranks but hopefully things work out and Ques earns plenty of minutes.

Count me as glad to hear the update, for reasons that I’m not even sure of. I guess I want to believe that a story like him can still happen.

Tylor Perry is way more of a shooting guard than a point guard. Glover chose Kansas State because after he chose BYU and moved out there, BYU didn’t follow through on the NIL commitment to Ques. Ques then got out of his commitment to BYU, not because of the money, but because of the lack of trust he then had for BYU.

Hope it's not too serious and he is back at it soon.

It breaks my heart when I see any of the kids injured badly. It goes beyond the immediate pain.

Maybe Ques will get lucky, but he was limping badly and didn’t play in the 2nd half.

Hard to say with these types of injuries. I’ve had some be nothing, and some be terrible. I am pulling for Ques, though. Thanks to Tampa’s persistence, I almost feel as though he’s never left. I say that as a good thing, not a criticism.

Understand why Glover moved on from BYU but hope the decision to go to K-State works out from a playing time standpoint. Being the man at a Southern Conference school to coming off the bench and fighting for minutes at a much bigger basketball school can be a tough adjustment and hopefully Ques can play well enough to either earn a starting position or at least get plenty of minutes off the bench.

Everything depends on how bad he is injuried. If he’s healthy, he is going to be the first guard off the bench because he is going to play behind an NBA prospect in Cam Carter and the best shooter in college basketball in Tylor Perry. I would expect Ques to get between 20 and 25 minutes per game and to be on the floor at crunch time. Kansas State actually has more talent than they had last year, but Ques is injured, and their best big guy has been suspended from the team at least for now. Ques was going to start at the point for BYU. So he would have been starting for a Big 12 school. However, Kansas State is a deeper and more talented team. Kansas State and USC play each other in Vegas tomorrow night. It should be an exciting opener.

The amount you know about Glover’s thinking and personal decisions is illuminating, Tampa

You’re attempting to be funny, but his decision to leave BYU for Kansas State is public knowledge. The information I reported on here came directly from Jerome Tang ( who has discussed it publicly.
