AR started 1 game prior to this season. Now he has 13 starts. Mertz has started 32 games. From a probability standpoint…the guy with 13 starts most certainly will show more improvement after he first year as a starter vs the guy with 32 starts. We already know what Mertz is.
We do and we don’t. He was impressive 2021 but not 2022. The video I posted postulated he was with the wrong program.
I think AR’s passing stats were almost exactly that. So basically, we would get an erratic passer who is a statue instead of a fragile athlete.
Good size, strong arm and quick release. Look forward to seeing him work with a new crop of speedy receivers.
Definitely has all the physical tools …feast or famine at Whisky sounds like AR but maybe he’s a more athletic Austin Appleby
If he's a PWO and there's going to be another QB from the portal, why should we complain about Mertz? At the very least, he's somebody else Rashada can learn from. The more QBs competing in the spring, the mo' better.
