I mean who cares about WHY the result happened, right?

I couldn't care less WHY we lost to Georgia Southern...I didn't need to dissect it...didn't need to pull my hair out over play calling, execution or game plan. It was Georgia Southern. You lose to Georgia Southern and you dont need to watch the tape anymore. Its was time to shit can the coach and call it a season. Now seeing we are giving BN some slack year one there is obvious issues that the Vandy disaster exposed. I mean we lost to a team which likely has less talented players across the board starters, second string and third string. On top of that we had one of the highest drafted players ever at UF playing QB for us and what happened...we got thugged by Vandy. That game is a complete disaster (as was the USF game by the way). In my opinion if you really want that deep dive (which like I said Id rather avoid) we sucked...we played like crap...we failed as an entire team top to bottom. For all I know I expect even their tuba player was better, their cheerleaders were better and even the guy popping popcorn was better.... Doing that deep dive on why doesn't matter...you just dont lose to Vandy.

Briles I believe was a big difference for KJ. It will be interesting to see how Enos handles him. I think he’s a downgrade to Briles. IMO

I remember last year when I mentioned Briles as a possible OC for us, I was laughed at... I wonder if I was right about him all along.

And...this is why the UF job is a pretty damn tough one. Nothing to discuss regarding Ga Southern. Been there and done that. Minor league teams with a LOT less resources can scare/concern the fans but in the end, the superior team wins with superior depth.

But your second point is, quite frankly, off-base and SO Gator fan-esque. Why do you, or others, DEMAND that history MUST be maintained? So, we beat Kentucky 30 straight games. We fire the coach because he "broke the rule"? How about 2 straight? We are prepared to fire each and every person associated with UF football? History is just that: in the rear view mirror. All that matters is right now and football is a DAMN COMPLICATED set of moving parts, especially when you continually lose players due to graduation and now the NIL. Did you have "this feeling" when Franklin beat us, or just this version of Vandy? How about those damn puny teams located just north of Georgia but coached by the Gator Great? Okay but not Beamer Junior?

I find it unfathomable that an SEC team is considered "below our dignity to lose to". Or should I say, I can not fathom this from anyone sane. However, Kentucky basketball fans are pretty damn close to this take.

When you get dominated (yes they did)...by Vandy, a team you hold better talent across the board against from starters to 4th teamers its bad. Cant sell it any other way. "Below our dignity"...yes thats Vandy...thats Georgia Southern... and when you lose to those types of second tier teams do you really need to check the rest of the wins or losses for the year to know you probably also lost to each and every one of your rivals? Guess what...we did...we lost to every rival we played. Vandy was just the cherry on top.

Ive not called for Napiers head and realize he is changing things to his liking which takes some time and pain unfortunately. He has some slack in my book but some things that happened last year were not good. For instance we got worse in almost every facet of the game as the year went on...no way that should happen. Play calling...special teams...lets just be kind and say "room for improvement". Defense...gets a WTF as a grade. I do think he rights the ship but the gods of the SEC gave him an awful schedule. Anything over 8 wins and we have a coach of the year candidate! (and yes one of those wins should in fact be a given...Vandy).

What you have posted here isn't bad, but it does not jive with what you posted before. You drew a line. This is more discerning. And to that, IMO, we all should know...by now...that Napier believes in a system and he builds it from the ground up. No shortcuts...ever. Last year was sobering to me (the play of the safeties and even the O-line against the upper echelon teams especially) and it was what it was. And as you imply, it is plausible that we are indeed going to be better this year, but it may look similar based on a tougher schedule.

So, it "looks the same". Are you truly going to embrace the "patience" and "sobering" aspects of reality in this post, or are you going back to finding your pitchforks and torches in your first post?
