    Maybe, but gotta win those 3. This team has plenty of talent but can they show they are ready next Saturday? In year 3 playing competitive against Georgia isn’t good enough. Gotta win 1 of next 2. 5-4 headed into last 3 would be decent.

    Like I said in another post, we seem to have had more than 11 names on the defense being called, that made plays, in that game against Kentucky. More than we have starters...

    Yes and no. He has upgraded some positions but others not so much. I would argue the offensive and defensive line recruiting has been putrid. Outside of LJ McCray what other top flight linemen have we landed? Unfortunately I think this is going to bite us in the next few games. We are playing teams with some 5 star talent along the lines of scrimmage that we can’t match. Lagway is an incredible talent but he needs help. Combine that with some real bonehead coaching decisions and Billy’s future has a legitimate reason to be questioned. There is a path for him to save his job but it’s going to take a Herculean effort. If we end the season ranked in the 50s in recruiting keeping him will be academic anyway. We can’t compete down the road with that type of class even with the transfer portal.

    I suggest actually watching him on the field. Kid is explosive and simply lacks experience at a position with a lot of guys.
    He was very disruptive in his snaps vs UK

    Needs snaps. Like so many others it seems they have to wait or only play if there is injury. Look at DJ and Baugh. Not playing unless injuries. Billy leans on seniority. He does not play the best unless forced to.

    I have watched him. 7 tackles and .5 a sack for a top 10 player? I’m not saying he won’t eventually be good…I actually think he will but he has a long way to go. Also, I don’t agree that we have a lot of good players at defensive end. It is a relatively weak position. Our best player at defensive end is playing for Virginia tech. Maybe McCray will play well down the stretch. We sure need him to.
