PSA: Don’t Taunt Gators

Back when I worked for the county we had a department BBQ out on an island in a Kissimmee lake. My boss and a couple other guys in the department were air boaters. While we were drinking and grilling and having a good old time my boss took his boat out and poached a 5 ft gator. We were grilling gator tail when all of a sudden FWC showed up. Someone had seen Mike poach the gator and reported it. FWC found gator blood all over his air boat and while they were cuffing him and getting ready to haul him off to jail the rest of us ate up all the evidence. It really saved Mike's ass because the lack of evidence caused them to drop the charges to a misdemeanor. Had he been convicted of a felony he would have lost his job because you can't work for Orange County if you are a convicted felon.

 

It probably hasn't gone unnoticed, but the headline to this tweet isn't lying. You can see the trapper is clearly knocked out cold, laid out on the ground.
