Pretty decent assessment of Anthony Richardson as an NFL prospect - the good and the bad.

It’s not character, it’s just choices. There’s nothing wrong with him protecting himself.

I don’t see your point tbh. We’ve had dozens of guys leave after 3 years. But you have a problem with AR because he only started for one year?

I don’t follow. How exactly was he protecting himself any more than any other player? This just seems bizarre.

Agree. Many will wish we had him back. And the statement about him not running is laughable. 103 Carries and 654 yards say he ran plenty.

Generally, I don't really disagree with this guy's assessment of AR. The one thing I really question in his assessment is the importance of what happens when the first read isn't there. To me, that's probably the single most important skill a QB has or doesn't have. That tends to be the one skill that the great QBs have.

And this is exactly what I didn't see a whole lot for AR in his short career. If his first read wasn't there, the play typically broke down unless he ran. He may have looked another direction first, but it seemed like he usually had in his mind at the where he was looking to throw.

I've said before and I'll say again, that no player's draft status in a long time is hinging more of the combine and private workouts than AR. I think he'll fare well in the combine but interested teams are really going to focus on his decision making in workouts. I'm not sure this a skill that can easily be taught. If he proves to have the skills he really didn't show much at UF, he could be a top 10 pick. If he doesn't, he won't.

Best of luck AR! Make sure to get a good investment advisor for all that cash!

Would have loved to see him at UF before all the recent “innovations”.

Interestingly Levis performed a fair amount worse than AR in 2022 and is expected to go even higher in the draft

I also am very interested to see the accurate height measurements on Young.

He did? Higher QBR, more TDs, more yards, higher YPA.

Levis played about the same as he did the year prior, UK was just less successful.

If his read is a quick slant, he is screwed

Trick question. On any given Saturday: either of them. On any other given Saturday: neither of them.

That Franchise Guy (he made the video that started this thread) just released his video mock draft and has AR going #6 to the Detroit Lions. He also has Levis going #7 to the Raiders.

I wonder how much his interviews will affect his draft location. AR seemed uncomfortable and introverted in most of his interviews. All reports say he is a great kid but that lack of leadership and confidence was every bit as detrimental to his performances as his inaccuracies in the short to intermediate passing game.

2022 SEC Season Leaders Total QBR | ESPN

AR had a QBR of 70, Levis as a 60

Passing stats were pretty close although the edge goes to Levis. But rushing and sacks matter. AR murdered him there. Levis had -100 rushing yards.

Actually AR had the higher QBR - 71.2 to Levis 60.9
AR had more passing yards - 2549 to Levis 2406
Levis had 2 more TD's but he also had 1 more Int.
Levis had a higher YPA, but he also had the Biletnikoff winner at WR, maybe 2 receivers that could go 1st round this draft.

QBR is a pretty clunky metric, but AR obviously has him beat on the ground.

I don't understand Levis being a 1st rounder, seems like a journeyman type. I also don't understand AR being a first rounder, but the legs and potential seem there for AR more than Levis.

AR had much higher highs and lower lows, which should make a GM think if they can get him up to speed he could be a franchise guy. Levis is a pretty middle-of-the-road OK QB. The only thing I can think of is they're elevating him for playing for UK.
