    Bottom of a pint glass
Said it in another thread. There's no advantage to taking a high road anymore or playing by some long held standards or ethics. So might as well just embrace pardons for kids, putting felons on your cabinet, selling gold sneakers and all the other bullshit. Because it doesnt move the needle.

Which is the point I originally made. In this world of reality where folks are fine with the powerful being above the law, I am not going to muster up a bunch of outrage over this. Biden has political cover to do this because of how the election went. Would he have done it if Harris had won? I don't know. Maybe.

Here's a novel idea. Instead of using that tired, baseless, rightie label, name the crime(s) there is/are any credible, substantial evidence to prove Joe Biden committed. This should be super easy for you, you claiming to be a lawyer and all.

    I'll hang up and listen.

EDIT: I KNEW you couldn't, color me shocked.

They were federal indictments. The corrupt judge in FL and corrupt USSC made sure there was no trial for over 60 grand jury indictments.

Maybe you need to read more about this, in order to be versed on the issues.

I don’t know how we could do that, although I would like to see it. I think the rule should be no pardons in a lame duck period or second term.

TBH though, we have much more issues from abuse of power in the halls of congress than we do with questionable presidential pardons.

Kind of a moot point since the SCOTUS and the DOJ have decided that the President of the United States is above the law unlike the leaders of most other Democratic Republics such as Argentina, Brazil, Israel, France and Italy just to name a few.

More info coming out, not only a pardon on the tax and gun issues but for any crime he committed in the last 10 years.

Biden shouldn't have said he wouldn't pardon him. I can't fault a father for pardoning his son, but I can fault him for doing it after repeatedly saying he wouldn't.

Just a guess I don't think Biden would have issued a full-on pardon if Harris was elected but he may very well have commuted Hunter's sentence if he was actually sentenced to a term of incarceration.

Those were weak and questionable indictments, as was everything Whitewater.

    r u serious

a felon that tried to use a violent mob to overthrow the government and compromised national security assets so he could show off to friends is heading into the WH with a group of convicted felons, racists, and conspiracy theorists for a cabinet and you think hunter tax evasion is the problem with this country? r u really that disconnected from reality? how does one lsoe touch that much?

I think he would have. The media would have given him cover and established separation between he and Harris for the pardon.

It’s easy to be rigid if you live either in a black or white world and have no appreciation for nuance. Many in MAGA world are exactly the same.

I don't know if I would go that far. But you could easily create a logical argument that Hunter's crimes are clearly not as bad as Trump's grifting, and if the American people can elect a grifting con-man as president, then Biden can pardon his son.
