We have a big problem with stopping the run game and Malzahn may not be the best in the business, but he is still pretty good at exposing a defense.

A killer running game against the defenses of Sam Houston, TCU, CO and New Hampshire. These are schools who have National Top 100 defensive rankings of 62, 51, 89, and unranked.

They will probably gash our defense up the middle with the run, but, that will be because that's what happens with everyone we play, not because of UCF.

Agreed. I have yet to see anything in this year's team that instills the confidence they can beat anyone other than maybe ucf or f$u. I will believe it when I see it. Thus far we have played like an sec bottom feeder or a team from a mid level conference, not the sec.
With tenn, uga, texas, ole miss, ky, lsu waiting in the wings, it is a heavy lift to expect we can beat any of them at this point. Obviously the games need to be played and strange things happen, but......
Have to win some games we are not expected to.

That is what Zook did against miss state. Seriously. Played into their strength because he figured they would be expecting them to attack their weakness. Just can't remember if it was run or pass defense they were the worst in the nation at.

 

I seem to remember Musclecramp doing that against someone too but can't remember the details. Other than we lost.
