This is tough. If the whole country was laughing at me, Gator Nation wanted me fired, saying I am Sun Belt Billy, etc. I would go out there and want to put my foot right through Samford's ass. You really think I'm not that guy?! Oh I am going to show you. I would then proceed to drop 70 on Samford. I would do the same the next week, because I really believe I am that guy. Unfortunately BN probably isn't made of that stuff, so my guess is we go out even more conservative with a true freshman QB and win some snooze fest. Gators 27 Samford 13
Gators will start slow due to some over-zealousness trying to respond to last week's game. Once they calm down after a few boos, things will get better. I would not want to be Samford tomorrow. Gators will be gunning to take out their frustration on them. Gators 44 Samford-14
Not sure why the negative comments. We gave up over 50 to them last time and we had better players then
They also gave up 70. We also probably have a better roster now. Anyone who really thinks we are going to lose to Samford should just outright give up on the season today, because if that happens everyone will give up tomorrow anyway. That's why you earned the C'mon Man. If you really think we are that bad, why are you bothering to even read the Gator message boards?
The Gators should score 42+. DJ is the x factor, and if BN unleashes him, DJ just may lead the team on a scoring blitz and a romp. Otherwise the "process" scores 27. Gators win 27-21
This is a pattern I've seen in Gator Nation for years. * Florida plays extreme cupcake (they lost to WEST Georgia); * Lagway starts, completing 35 for 36 (the incomplete pass was dropped) for 350 yards passing and four TD passes, along with 130 yards rushing and two TD runs; * Gator Nation says "It's settled. Lagway is our starter!" * Gators play a far more talented Texas A&M the following week at the Swamp, and face reality as we all realize that DJ is still as green as could be... Rinse and repeat...
Our roster is better. That's why everyone is upset that the field performance isn't. And, yes, it's okay to be objective. But, if someone has a view of this team that is that bleak, I ask why even watch?
