Good question. The Agges, who we all know is a cult, think the Texas guys are a bit lame, or tea toddlers if you will. Thus tea sippers, or t-sip. It actually is in a song that they sing after tuchdowns.

Teasip is a derogatory term for the Shorthorns, based on a longtime superiority complex. Traditionally, UT Austin was the college destination of those whose family had wealth, power and/or influence. Those who did not have those innate advantages were relegated to other major public universities like Texas A&M, Tech, etc.

Texas fans/alums believe state dominance is their Divine Right. They could go winless for a decade, but their smug elitist attitude never fades.

Texas and Florida are probably the most similar to each other than any school in the nation.

 

Texas gets out to a 17-0 lead on the Gators. At the beginning of the 4th Napier has no choice but to put Lagway into the game after Lagway insists.

Florida comes storming back to make the score 17-16 with only a couple minutes left. Knowing that the only way the Gators can win is to do it now , Napier goes for two.

A gimpy Lagway rambles into the endzone for the game winning 2 point conversion. Defense holds Texas.

Florida beats #5 Texas 18-17.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be in the endzone to watch Lagway run right at me.

 

Now I’m more confused because I have not heard of the term “tea toddler” before. Also what’s wrong with sipping tea? So many questions…

 

It's those out of control toddlers who are all jacked up on sweet tea. Some might say that they will come at you like a spider monkey.

Feels like a Kerwin bell story to me. Can you sell your ticket pregame and drink at the porpoise? Then enter the stadium in the fourth quarter when they stop checking tickets?

 

Any similarities were completely intended! I saw they were ranked 5 and we are unranked and that game just popped into my mind.

Funny enough, almost all of my friends never came back from the porp that day. Since that day I've always been a die hard I'm staying until the end of the game guy.
