I think we'll score a ton 'o points. We just won't be able to stop them from scoring more!o_O

Maybe we can try to play man vs that open field look where there are no defenders anywhere near the general area receivers are catching passes. Just saying. I know, that sounds snarky .

Go Gators. ;) Beat the Dawgs.

Georgia has the #1 defense in the SEC, 3rd in FBS, only giving up 247 yards and 9 points per game. They also have the #2 offense in the league, #4 in FBS, at 527 yards and 42 points per game. We're not gonna score much on them and they will score however and whenever they want on us, unless some type of miracle happens during our bye week. I would love to see an upset happen, as my 3 favorite teams are the Gators and whoever is playing FSU & Georgia. But our defense is one of the worst in the country, #106 in total defense, #131 (dead last) in 3rd down defense, while our offense is only slightly above average at #53. Rivalry emotion just isn't going to be enough for this team even make a game of it, IMO. Sorry, but as a lifelong Gator that's what I think. Would love to be wrong.

I sure hope something really good happens. The kids deserve a win. I personally think Georgia is vulnerable. Alabama was vulnerable. Tenn is vulnerable, but they're still winning. Georgia struggled against Mizzou. Anything can happen. We could sack Bennet a few times and he could start lobbing pics. Our defense is about due a breakout game. At least compared to so far. AR could rise to the occasion. Etienne could run back a TD.

This season, with so much parity, and no ultra-dominant team...

    Gators 34
    Dawgs 34

    They bring back the tie...:rolleyes:o_O

Anything can happen. And it will...

    Go Gators.

With the bye week I think we will some correction with the defense. But in the end will be similar to 2018. We keep it close for a half before UGA pulls away.

  7. None of my predictions for a Gator victory have been correct this year, so I will go with reverse psychology: 55-10, UGA.

I agree, Georgia is vulnerable, but our defense IS NOT nearly as good as Mizzou. We lose this game badly, and I won't even try to predict the score. Our offense is going against the best defense it has faced yet. If the offense brings their "A" game, their defense will still force punts. Our offense won't see the field that much--the defense is too porous. I am hoping for us to score 28, and that will be decent. Georgia will definitely score in the forties, and if the offense plays poorly, the flea-bitten mongers will hang half a hundred on us! So, maybe I did predict a score.

I think it will be a competitive game, but the DAWGS pull away late.

Had I taken the time to explain my prediction it would've sounded very similar. I hope we're wrong but when I take off my Gators glasses all I see is a butt whooping.

Yo hoyt233, You do see all the predictions of a UGA rout, right? It's not just me. You've plenty of others to smile at.

Yeah, well there will be a time when we will win and Kirby won't be able to do anything about it. Too many resources being pumped into to Gator ball for it to take too long. But it will happen.

Not sure if it was last year, maybe the year before, Bennet was trying to load up on the point RUS towards the end of the game and he got all cocky-ass and tossed a pick near the goal line. That was the best part of the whole game for me.

Last year was Richardson's introduction to that rivalry. He predictably imploded. Not a great place for your inaugural Christening by fire! This year he could crumble under pressure or come out and really kick some matted poodle-ass. We all hope he can do the latter. He certainly has the ability to set the tone and go all scorched earth on them. We'll see. If the defense can do something, anything, there will be moments. The rest we might have to wait for.

I apologize, I realize this is the weekly Predict the Score thread and (like usual) I'm going all long-winded. Man...

    Go Gators.
