Congrats to @chompz & @bogator for predicting Johnson would have the first Gators TD. I'll message you both with $5 Starbucks gift cards . I was there amongst Cane fans and was embarrassed to the core. Never seen a Gator team dominated in such a fashion when the expectations were so high. 3rd year Napier has his guys, his organizational structure, but put out a team who looks slow, lethargic and underwhelming. The Oline and Dline were dominated all game with our 1st TFL coming in the late 3rd quarter, our 1st sack (sort of) coming in the 4th quarter and our 1st 3rd down conversion in the 4th quarter with a true freshman QB. As Steve Spurrier said on a podcast Monday, his only advice to Napier is the change something. Anything, but change something. He was not happy and you can't find a Gator who still supports the Napier product we saw last Saturday. The stadium was emptying in the 3rd quarter and something, anything, must change. A little history lesson with roles reversed was on September 3rd 1983 the Gators beat the Canes 28-3 before Miami turned it around and went on to win the National Championship. Crazy things can happen and I'll be rooting on the boys in Orange and Blue till the end. I don't see how Napier can pull himself out from under the dark cloud of Gator Nation. It seems beyond repairable and after Saturday, there may not be another game where the Gators are favored all year. Sorry for the rant, as there are multiple threads saying much of the same. Got if off my chest!!! With that being said, the Gators 1st TD against Samford will be Lagway calling his own number with a QB keeper.
Dj Lagway to Tre Wilson on a screen. Billy doubles down when his "process" works against an inferior opponent.
