I want to say 7-5, but unfortunately I think 5-7 is more likely. I think our team will be better, but the schedule is daunting. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll say 6-6
A more reasonable schedule and this team could get 9 wins, tough sledding with the slate we drew. Have to set the tone with a win over the canes. They also need to be able to dust themselves off and refocus after any losses that happen. 7-5 8-4 range.
This is my thinking as well. If and I do mean if all of the chatter from those in the know is accurate, it should be fun to watch again. SOS predicted 9-3 and I think we can all agree that man knows college football.
Miami-------------------Tossup Samford----------------Win (easy) Texas A&M--------------Tossup @Miss State------------Win (close) UCF---------------------Win @Tennessee------------Loss (close) Kentucky----------------Tossup Georgia-----------------Loss (not close) @Texas-----------------Loss (not close) LSU---------------------Tossup Ole Miss----------------Loss (close) @FSU-------------------Loss (close) Go 2-2 on the tossups, and we have 5-7. If we are healthy and other teams have key injuries, we could switch it to 7-5. If we get the bounces against Tennessee, Ole Miss and FSU, or have AA-type breakout players, we could go 8-4 or better. Not a Sunshine Pumper, but not Doom and Gloom, either. We have to see it on the field...
9-3. - We won’t beat UGA but I expect that game to be a nail biter. - Winning a road game in Austin seems unlikely - Ole Miss has a natty contender
How is FSU a loss? What position group on FSU is better than what we have? I’ll give them OL but where else?
SR Leadership takes over! 12-0 to end the season Beat Alabama in the SEC Championship first round bye 3-0 in the playoffs National Champions
With this schedule, I see us between 5-7 and 7-5. Fair or not, anthing less then 6-6 with a bowl appearance and the noise is goning to get real loud.
The strength of our schedule is simply speculative. Rarely are they accurate for the most part. Teams we play have new qb's, new coaches, and new personnel. IMO there is zero excuse for not having a winning record this year and if we don't changes need to be made at the top. BN has been given everything he asked for to make UF not just competitive but be contender for championships. A 3 consecutive losing season here at UF does not deserve one more year. I predict a 7-5 season, however a loss to Miami and that prediction would be changed downward.
No game is a certain loss and TexASS has lost top 2 RBs for the season. Ole Piss is said to be thin and we get them late, if injuries creep on them, that home game is looking more favorable for the good guys. 7-5, 8-4 seems reasonable. Had we played just a little bit better last year, we would have had 3 more wins, minimum
Lol man if you think we are beating Texas and Ole Miss (2 of the 3 best teams in SEC) we are doing a lot better than 8-4. - Texas lost their top RB for the season. The other guy was a freshman who probably would have barely played. Jaden Blue is the #2 (now #1) back there and is very good. If he gets hurt they are in trouble. Going on the road right after the Cocktail party against a very good Texas team that will have a tough defense and a veteran team is a tough task. Doesn’t seem probable we win. - Ole Miss has a squad and probably finishes top 2 in scoring in the conference
And I believe Texas gets a bye week before they play us... that's just a screw you to the Gators from the SEC schedule makers/front office.
