I haven’t lived in Gainesville since 2004 and I hear that the parade is a shadow of its former self ?

I would have laughed at that.....before Saturday's loss.

Now......it's really not all that funny.

 

Not sure this is fair. If you recall, we were damned near pulling students out of the stands to suit up. Vandy also finished 9-4 that year; it wasn't a typical 2-10 Vandy. If you're going to blame Muschamp for going 4-8 in 2013, you're going to have to credit him for going a very solid 11-2 the year before.

 

Good game to take the family to. Ideally over early. Expectations what they are can't really be mad/sad if not.

 

Is Tre Wilson still out?

What's his injury? Collarbone bruise? Don't buy that. Either he broke it or dislocated it.

 

Wake, Kentucky, and Mizzou backs seem to have averaged a healthy ypc stat line in their games against Vandy. Let's give them a healthy dose of ETN.

 

Maybe this is a fool's gold kind of game, but I'm expecting us to whip them. Their defense is awful and their offense isn't anything to write home about. Will Sheppard will be a good test for Jason Marshall on the outside. Gators big.

 

Honestly this game could go either way for me, but being at home is clearly an advantage. I just don't know how to read this team.

On the road I'd be nervous enough to start drinking Bourbon!

 

And our team had a chance to win it at the end with a Hail Mary pass into the endzone bleachers.

I am down that way occasionally for rocketry related events. I always drag my fellow nerds in there for a bite!

I grew up here and the parade and Gator Growl were special in the 60's 70's and 80's. Not so much anymore. I have not been to the parade in a number of years but I never see the floats the the day before or after at the frat house lawns like years ago. They screwed up the parade to me when they put the medians in University ave.

 

They moved it because of all the speed control devices they added to University Ave where it runs past campus. It now starts out going N on SW 13th St near Norman Hall, turns E onto University and ends on Main St. There are a lot less viewing opportunities on that path because it only briefly runs next to campus and there is little to no green space on Univ Ave between 13th and Main.

 

Vandy almost always plays us tough and we almost always win.

Any idea which underclassmen will be on the Senior float this year?

 

If I remember, our quarterback had his shoulder wrenched in the game before against LSU and threw 2 pick sixes and had a third int that was brought down inside the 10, but they scored anyway.

We lost by 17.

I’m sure our qb said his shoulder was OK even though he couldn’t throw the ball 10 yards downfield.

 

That's not a full on "injection"... more like a subcutaneous injection. Next time "inject" something worthy of our veins.
