Concussions are not an easy injury to predict recovery time. Two weeks seems to be an average recovery time, but there are variables. Like Tebow, who played two weeks later after his concussion, Mertz may not be bothered by contact. However, it varies with the individual, and Mertz may not tolerate taking shots like he has in the past. Much of that is on the OL. I have never seen the struggles with our OL, as I have with Mullen and now Napier.

You should’ve checked out the number of OL Muschamp left shark man.

“It’s a blessing to have two really good quarterbacks and certainly one with a ton of experience and one without.”

Asked about the OL rotating, Billy Napier says they're still trying to find the best group of offensive linemen. "That group has got to get better."

    Still evaluating..

I find this VERY encouraging for either UF QBs.

On Dec 5 of 2023, I tripped over a carpet mat that had bunched up at the entrance to my place of employment, I stumbled for 12 feet before going head first into a wood floor. It knocked me out and I got a concussion along with some other damage. The concussion took 6 weeks to clear and to be honest if I bend over and then straighten up to fast some of the residual effects are still there. I hope Graham is okay and that he does not rush back too soon.

I hope the OL plays well enough to protect the QBs from getting hurt. I think both QBs will play in the game. We can’t afford to have either one get hurt. GO GATORS!

Room temp dropped or risen? Risen means getting hot and can’t stay in the room anymore. If it dropped maybe his seat is not as hot and the process keeps slugging along. Im confused.

Thanks. I was speaking in the context of support being fiery hot or warm or luke-warm or even less than that potentially ending in ice cold. Anyway, that was the spectrum I was thinking of. I didn't think about hot seats. LOL! :)

A cold room means no warm welcome when you enter. Similar to a hot seat if that helps.

I want us to beat A&M. I'm tired of losing. But with our offensive line (which is offensive) against a good defense. I think we lose again. PLease let me be wrong but outside of Samford there is little data to indicate we have a chance.

I'm glad to hear there are "highly influential people" that were "shocked" by the scUM game. I was all for giving BN a long leash into the 2025 season, but I also expected to see some appreciable gains in year three. Namely, improvement in all three phases of the game. I believe we have improved on ST, but I cannot say the same for the offense or defense. We have the most talented team in BN's tenure. The problem is not the talent but the lack of coaching development! We have two OL coaches, but our OL is not 200% better! Our defense is nowhere close to being up to the Gator standard. Gator Nation was presented with an optimistic outlook for 2024, and that came straight from BN himself. I can no longer trust anything BN says, and he has totally lost my confidence in him going forward!!! And I don't trust the current AD to find a suitable replacement.
On a positive note, I was highly impressed with DJ's performance on Saturday, but whoever was calling plays caused drives to stall and fewer TD's to be scored. If Spurrier had been the playcaller, DJ would have had at least 21 more points and, thus, more passing yards. I don't think I am alone with what I have said here, because much of gator Nation concurs that we have seen enough. Go Gators!

Maybe Napier should petition the NCAA for 6 more weeks of practice to determine who his top 5 are. If what Waters says is true, that is how to say, I am an incompetent coach without saying it.

Or you could put these two posts together and say, this is very encouraging news for aTm rush ends who have struggled.

I don't think that any Gator fans think the hope he was selling was for mediocrity. That is the definition of mediocrity. We are finding out there are a lot more bad teams in the SEC than we anticipated.
