I was just checking to see that you are older than me…;). I became a UF Gator in 1980.

It's almost time to quit talking and start walking.

Is it just me or is this the longest offseason in history? LOL (Or do I feel this way every year)?

Watched Ms Peek yesterday, she had a Miami Podcaster on predicting 34-20 / 30-20 Canes. Double digit win.

Of course I don't blame him, I would not expect different from that side. He predicted Miami would control
    both lines of scrimmage.

J.D. Pickell likes UF, he gave some predictions last night - UF, UGA, W Virginia, (winners) among others. I enjoy his On3 Podcast.
Of course my favorites are UF podcasters / Shane, David Waters, Ally, Hightop, Read and Reaction ). "yeah I'm a freak",
hey, it beats the crap out of politics!

Interesting comment by coach Napier, on his recent press conference, he worked with Mario Cristobal for 4 years at
a previous stop. Knows him well and calls him a friend.

So fellow Gators, we will be either very high or very low around 7:00 PM
on Saturday. But I'm glad, as Shane M puts it, "toe finally meets leather".
I'm in for a Noon to 10:30 PM love fest - Clemson / UGA, UF / Miami and Notre Dame / TAMU. That ought to get me my fix. Tommorrows games don't have the same appeal as Saturdays but I'll check in a bit.

Well for those Gators on this board (and all Gators) getting ready / making preparations, wish all of you a safe jouney and of course a happy result and safe trip home.

    Go Gators!

I suspect you feel this way every year. I do. We all do!
But, as I get older, I’m not quite as excited as when I was in my 20’s , 30’s. I was giddy and just couldn’t wait! Still excited now, just not like then. Plus, I quit drinking 4 years ago and I’m sure that has an effect; like being able to remember past the 1st quarter!

Talk about a weak schedule, the Canes have it! Glad they play somebody week 1!!

Gee Marine, to listen to it, Ward is a lock for the Heisman. I'm thinking his road record goes to 4 - 9 after Saturday!

Yea, I’ve been watching YouTube nonstop as well. One surprising pick is Andy Staples picking Miami.

Troupe has some good things to say including Miami has never even won their conference and Cam Ward ain’t Cam Newton.

Yeah, there's too much of this stuff to watch about how good or bad we are... (Not that that prevents me from watching!)o_O

I'm as psycho as I've ever been going into the season, I just can't allow another season mired in mediocrity to be the subterfuge that ruins my life. I have a rule, if a loss requires more than three mandatory days of mourning, it's a real problem. Be that as it may, if we somehow manage to lose to Miami I'll be at the local sematary leaning against a gravestone, taking a break from the grave I'm digging to throw myself into.

IMHO-I think we beat Miami by at least two TD's. I think our DB's will be much improved. Coaching, talent, execution. That will be the Gator difference.;)

    Go Gators.

    Miami wearing all white.

Any information on whether or not we will be changing our “whiteout”.

For the past few years our defense made mediocre QB's look like Heisman candidates. Hopefully that changes Saturday.

I just don't see how they'll be able to compete against us. Our Secondary; the safeties, corners should do a decent job of locking them down. Turner might break someone in half tackling them too.

I expect our defense to be considerably better, and our offense to be improved. We have two very good TE's, in Hansen and Bordingham, as well.

The helmet communication systems might help Miami a bit, but we get that advantage too.

    Go Gators!:eek::p:cool:
