    Those poor kids are subjected to some violence that they are physically able to defend themselves against. It beyond me that it is legal.

    They should just have practice games and don’t go too hard on them like a sparring session. Beating up in untalented kids to pad records is weak. Don’t put the practice games on the record like it has legitimacy.
