At least with Golf, when you play really bad you have no one to blame but yourself.. (unless that person is one those guys/gals who blame all the people they play with). This situationis tough to swallow, especially since the option of going in a new direction has been removed by SS. To me it's amazing how Bama can get Deboer in seemingly one day, while we get all the retreads, who get paid a fortune, and it takes us weeks and weeks to make these dud hires public.
Wow. So not even for a change of pace, to try to add a little spark, or just to sit Aiden and talk him through what was happening a little more? Because if they only had time to get Aiden "ready" to play, what happens if he goes down at any point? Clay IS the backup, right? Or would it be straight wildcat from here on out--which honestly I thought we could have used a little more on Saturday.
Another perk of a good hire like Saban... he works with the university to allow them time to find his successor.
not only that, but Warner has thrown more passes in both of his appearances than DJ has thrown in any game this year.
In defense of playing zone - the GNFP guys data said that Texas passing game has thrived vs man all year and was far less effective vs zone. It made some sense to play it. But was made harder with bench players not as good at playing it.
I don't know. I think you do the right things and always prepare to your utmost, regardless of the expected outcome. If that's not Clay then I assume it's a Wildcat, because you always have to have a backup plan at qb, win or lose.
Napier sais in today's PC they worked Lagway out this morning and they felt good about it so he will practice today. I assume as QB1. Also said a handful of players who were out last week should be back.
I don't know I just have a feeling....wishful thinking.... that maybe the LSU defense has quit and maybe we can run on them.
I hope they aren't rushing him back too soon, but assuming the best, this is our most legit shot of breaking even on the season.
We have a Baugh though. We should use the wildcat to try to generate some offense. The status quo isn’t working with using Warner to run the offense, and from some earlier posts, it appears changing things up never crossed Napier’s mind.
We may see that because CBN's statements make it sound like he isn't giving Millen snaps to be prepared if Warner goes down. After all a walk on from Yale has to be preferred over a former freshman all American qb.
