Got to give UT credit. They arrived in BR with a lot of confidence and dominated from beginning to end.

 

Agree. I will add that IMO we arrived in Knoxville confident and played focused, determined ball. We lost, but we played hard.
If we do that vs LSU then I like our chances.

HOWEVER, for some reason, we have let the film fool us the past 2 years.
We have come out lethargic and entitled- thinking we could show up and win.
If we do that again, IMO LSU beats us.

Don't let the recruit dance videos fool you. Kelly is a miserable mean bastard. I bet his roster is not enjoying his rebuuld. How they respond this week will be interesting.

Meanwhile, this would be a good week for us to turn the corner on a few things.

 

I put these guys up with Missouri ... we've lost to some pretty bad teams from both schools in the last decade and it's frustrating.

 

One key for us will be to get some consistency out of the qb spot. AR is currently 94th/118 in passing efficiency. I realize its not all on him, but we've got an OL that will give the qb some time back there, unlike past years. I honestly think things need to start clicking for him soon. If he can get into the top 50 -60 range by year's end, that would be a big boost for us.

 

If AR isn't aggressive in running we lose.

 

First of the three PsOV, that look after he is flattened. Priceless.

 

Perhaps but at the same time, our future with him and his future beyond UF require him to practice passing and playing the game at a high level. But I hear you.

This just seems like the kind of game where we crap the bed. I fear Daniels is going to have a field day with our defense. Not sure why I am so pessimistic about this game. Maybe because their crap team with one of the worst rushing offenses in the league last year ran for about 1,000 yards on us with the same play, over and over and over, and I haven't seen anything that suggests we can stop the run any better this year, especially a running QB. Hoping we turn the corner this weekend.
