Brace yourselves. This is exactly the kind of game Napier loses. Despite losing the last two against Kentucky, fully understanding this is a must-win if he wants to keep coaching here, and having the Mildcats at home after they just got curbed by Vandy, Napier will not have this team training like Kentucky is its worst enemy. He will have them focusing on the last loss or some game coming up in the future. I fully expect this to be 2024’s version of 22 Vandy or 23 Arkansas.

 

Lol, how many must win games has BN coached in so far?

 

I need this one. I'm assuming we beat FSU at the end of the season as they will be 3-8 and have full thrown in the towel.

 

We are concentrating on scout team competitiveness.

Guys are still playing hard. I have to assume (hope) it continues

 

Team will rally around Lagway, elevating play all around. Lagway has a great game. If Trell out, Baugh or whoever starts at RB will want to show out. Wilson will not be rusty. Defense gaining confidence.

I'm going to trust that our team is sick and tired of UK and is more physical this time.

 

Bad coach Mark Stoops owns Billy "dread zone offense" Napier. I fully expect the UK D to be 2-4 plays ahead of BN at all times.

I expect our D will continue to look good against another questionable opposing QB and I think DJ can do enough to win the game. But I just can't predict a win with Napier leading this team. It's illogical that I think UF will be better on D, better on O yet somehow figure out how to lose, but here we are.

 

Remember, we were 20 point underdogs, took it to OT and should have won without OT. Same kids play this coming Saturday. I think it will go one of two extreme ways: very good with DJ at home knowing all week he is THE man now and his teammates knowing that (not at all that Mertz didn't have their respect) or like a baby freshman in his first start against an SEC team with a coach known more for defense. No question now about who plays when, or splitting first team reps at practice, or who would take QB sneaks, but we can't drop to QB3 so I expect lots of sliding on escapes. I think the kids win.

 

I’d imagine Stoops will have his defense set to confuse a Freshman QB
