Noles will play hard Until they get punched in the mouth and then they fold like a cheap suit. They want their season to be over.

Yep. How did that work out for the favored visitors? This is a rivalry game, so anything can happen, and over the years has happened. We must not feel entitled to beat halfassU. We have to go about our business and build on our team chemistry. Hoping for a great and focused practice week leading to a dominant win even though one is far from guaranteed.

Plus a good running game travels as does defense(which we seem to have). I think our guys are hungry and are not going to let up and neither will Billy. DJ will be ready too. Everybody seems to be on a mission. Very refreshing. It’s been a long time.

Everyone is optimistic given Lagway and Company's recent performance, but you can't take any team for granted, especially in a rivalry game on the road.

Need to play a clean game, no turnovers and few penalties. That has been a recent key to success. Hoping we get at least one defensive score.

I’ll never understand the chest beating about wins against rankings at time of play. FSU was top 10 at start of season. Should GT still count their win as a “ranked” win? Ranking at end of season is a better barometer IMO.

I am hoping Myles Graham will play angry for the whole game. Like Forest Whitaker’s character in Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Beat the SOW! I hope to see relentless scoring with our best available players for 3 quarters, if we are still up by 40 points with 8 minutes left, then put in the 3rd stringers and walk- ons.

Does UF not release a weekly depth chart anymore?

I found this for the Ole Miss game on Our Lads:

2024 Florida Gators Football Depth Chart | Ourlads.com

If accurate, we're especially thin in the secondary with Aaron Gates out. I guess it's next man up time. So far, that has worked fine.

    My take -

FSU's defensive front has some bodies, talent and can be "decent" the first half of games.
Their offense is just terrible. Their recievers have dropped more passes this season than the allies
dropped bombs over Germany in WW2.

For those that enjoyed watching FSU football this year (I am one), their defense plays credible early but
collapses in the second half because their offense does not help them.

My personal keys to the game:

For all the glory heaped on DJL (and richly deserved), IMO the key to UF's resurgence has been the defense.
Just keep it up against the holes and the Gators should be fine.

FSU will come out full of piss and vinegar, for a night game against a rival, as one would expect. Ths game will
be their superbowl so don't expect them to quit, at least not early.

Expect a first half battle. The key is to jump on them early and maintain a lead going into the half.

The second half, I would like to think (and see) the UF offensive and defensive line(s) takes over and begins to impose
    it's will.

We must be patient, Billy likes to run the rock, run some play action, and hit some explosives with DJL.
CBN is not SOS so don't expect a high octane offense. His is the "wear em down approach".

I really think the key is the UF offensive line ultimately imposing it's will agaist the Nole front. Minimize turnovers,
penalties and just wear their ass out, play with the same defensive intensity as against LSU and Ole Miss.
And get after FSU's QB's ass and sack him half a dozen times.

If UF does that the Noles will self destruct as they have all season. The only team that can beat UF in this contest
    are the Gators themselves.

My prediction: UF 34 Noles 17.

    GH

What causes them to want to make that disgusting moaning noise anyway?

They sound like a herd of donkeys with their testicles in a vise

I’ve wondered about that ridiculous noise they make too. It sounds to me like a bunch of people who ate a bunch of bad oysters.
