I hope you are right, but statistically speaking, the two teams are nearly identical. Identically bad.

Exactly what I suspect too... now all you have to do is figure out the cause and then go from there. Do you blame these players? I think someone them want to give the Gators a second chance with the next coach. What do you think? I also don't like it... but it is what it is in today's college football.

    Statistics are for losers. :D

UF has played stronger teams and has a far-far better roster. Coaching could be the equalizer though..

Tre got hurt last Monday. The school announced he was surgery for meniscus tear yesterday. That's why he hasn't been playing. It isn't some unthinkable thing. Occam's Razor dude.

You have no evidence and your theory is based on hyperbole.

I can sit here and say all kinds of things that you might be. I don't think you'd appreciate it. You would say I have no idea what I'm talking about. Then I could tell you that it doesn't matter, it might be true because it is true for others.

That's what you are doing to Tre by suggesting that he hasn't played the last 2 games because he is executing some unthinkable strategy to opt out. He deserves more respect than that.

OR you could take me at face value that I wasn't proposing or suggesting any theories, only pointing out that what you wrote and what someone else wrote weren't mutually exclusive. You seem to be arguing with someone else but using my post to do so.

Statistically speaking, Miss State is Georgia compared to Samford. They are both bad, mind you, but there are varying degrees of bad. Samford is mid high school level. Miss State rolled through Eastern Kentucky 56-7 and had a close loss to Arizona State on the road. EKU and Samford are about the same.

Any kin to the family that owned Strickland's Seafood in Mayport?

Thankfully the short term memory is the one that goes first!

I don’t know. I’ve lost touch with all of the Stricklands I knew growing up.

I know how to spell his name--Stricklin. But others don't seem to be able to do that.

    Does that help you out?

Billy is definitely cooked if we lose to UCF, and UCF may likely humiliate the Gators! Billy's playcalling has not been helped by a two quarterback system!

I don't want to believe we lose to Miss St but really, it's possible. Perhaps 50/50 because so far our D is easy to score on and our offense doesn't put many points up first half. Hopefully we win, then have a bye week to get ready for UCF. I would say UCF is not much worse than teams that have beaten us and is coached by a HC with legit experience and enough acumen to watch what other teams have done against us. But, we could win. I imagine on offense these next two games we see mostly the same plays Billy has in his book, not much different. We have the talent to win these next two but the staff has to help.

We can beat the cowbells, if our coach nuts up and inspires the players. He has the talent to do that, if he can coach.

My take…even before surgery was announced…to me it makes zero sense to assume a player is sitting out to save eligibility (to redshirt) when that player is a super talented player who will most likely only play 3 years of college ball so gains nothing from redshirting. Players like Wilson, likely Lagway, and other highly rated potential NFL products rarely stay more than 3 years in college. Sitting out could protect their health but saving eligibility you will never need isn’t the reason why.

No. You are the one that responded once to justify your suspicion. Then responded again telling me about the unthinkable ways kids try to opt out. So, I was specifically responding to you.

I am taking what you said at face value and I've specifically addressed the problem I have with it. Tre may well not come back this year but his absence wasn't some concoction to save eligibility.

We are not good at away games, we are not good at early games, we have a terrible coach, we have lots of injuries and are defense and offensive lines are not good but hope lives on.
