Not that I give a hoot about preseason rankings but why is UU 14 after winning their conference and returning what everyone says is a better team? PAC12 Disrespect?

The fact that you had to ask, coupled with the fact I don't know either, may actally tell us all we need to know about that particular "expert."

I believe we'll see 24-30 pass attempts, unless we fall behind and have to play catch-up - or we're doing so well downfield that it would be stupid to stop throwing.

Cruising the Provo River valley on the way to the Alpine Loop. There is a haze in the air that has to be humidity. I haven’t seen that over here the dozen or so times I’ve been to the Wasatch. Maybe we brought a touch of Florida weather with us. Was 60 this morning. Supposed to be in the 80s game time. Perfect.

According to one of the ten million podcasts I looked at, their getting some smoke from the Canadian wildfires that could account for some haze at altitude. The air quality may be affected to some minor extent, or so I've heard.

Add to that recovering from Idalia. It sure doesn’t feel like a normal opener.

In my opinion, the hangover remedy for "how the season ended" was administered early this year. Also, repeated doses were applied in both the Spring and Preseason practices.

This game will show us (and a lot of other people) how much of a positive influence of Austin Armstrong, and his coaches, had on the Gator defensive players in the past year.

The same can be said the the impact that Napier and his coaches had on the Gator offensive players.

I expect a hard fought game by both teams. If the Gators avoid costly/stupid penalties we could see UF 24 Utah 17.

I guess you expect us to only win 3-4 games this season. With no Rising at QB, if they score 37 on us that would mean that we have no run game and our defense has regressed. There should not be enough time to score that many points against our style of play, especially with the new clock rules unless we flat-out suck, which I do not think that we do.

I like the boiled shrimp platter at Crabs. It's $28 last I checked, but I get 2 meals out of it. You can have a great seat overlooking the Gulf too.

The flavor of the chowder at Peg Leg Pete's is outstanding, but they put in too many new potatoes.

Utah hasn't lost in its last 28 non-conference home games. They are 23-1 in their past 24 overall at Rice-Eccles, with the loss coming to USC with no fans in attendance during the pandemic.

The Utes have lost their last three season openers against FBS opponents, and the Gators are 30-1 in season openers since 1990. The Gators are 2-12 in their last 14 road games against ranked opponents. UF is 2-0 vs Utah.

24-30 would be good, but I'd like to see us come out throwing to keep them honest in the box. 24 out of 30 works for me

Headed down from the mountains into SLC and the air is thick. I hope it is smoke from up north because if it is smog I don’t want to breathe it.
