The way she bobs and shakes her head conjures up images of the stereotype valley girl. It’s distracting - guess it’s just part of her persona

 

I made the mistake of checking in for a bit of the customary JP ego monkey balderdash, out of morbid curiosity I suppose. He did indeed make the hyper dramatic, BS prediction GH described - and then went on to threaten BN/Florida with "uncomfortable discussions" if UF doesn't win in SLC. This guy comes across as a shit stirrer for the ages and a bit of a vulture who has BN sized up as the blue plate special. What a maroon.

 

Is he wrong? Will there not be a single thread on this site having that discussion if UF looses?

I've seen quite a few people with similar take on Pate, but honestly don't see it. For as much as he stirs he will also say to pump the brakes in an equal amount. He will also say things a lot of the talking heads won't, like being 8-4 in the SEC west is probably a better team than an 11-1 Big 10 west.

Obviously, we see the world through very different eyes, so I'll take a moment to explain my take.

To your first point, this board is well-populated by sincere Gator fans of every type and description. That means that every possible take on UF FB, CBN, or the best place to eat seafood near Pensacola, is guaranteed to be raised, discussed, argued about and beaten to absolute death sooner rather than later - you know, like this one. Nothing either of us will ever say is going to change that and I wouldn't, even if I could. But the only transgression that I will turn away from is duplicity in a "fan" (trolls are cowards and idiots IMO) - or intentionally manipulative "hot takes" from the media for the sake of achieving some self-serving purpose. Click bait madness is a rapidly growing fact of life, and to deny that is pointless.

The part about stirring up trouble while cautioning others to pump the brakes is both a classic case of talking out of both sides of your mouth at the same time (AKA BS), and a rhetorical device designed to provide a "fig leaf" of sorts for a blatantly antagonistic or sensational take. AKA more BS. Your pal Josh excels at that stuff and if you find value in the posturing and the unvarnished "carrion eater" approach to reportage, knock yourself out. A little goes a long way with me.

That part you ain't kidding. Watched the clip again to see if maybe I just missed it, but no, your reaction to the "difficult discussions" is oddly extreme. You even agree it will be discussed. Wouldn't that by logic make it rational speculation? Combine that with the irony of "shit stirrer for the ages" and "a vulture" while bemoaning sensational takes is just chef's kiss. If he had said some stupid stuff like BN wouldn't be on the plane back to Gainesville, then absolutely I'm on board. I also agree with the click bait and "hot takes" in general is annoying, but to your point we see the line with different eyes.

 

That's correct Wanne, my understanding is it takes 10 days for persons with good lungs and reasonable health to fully acclimatize to the altitude.
