At least you don’t have to worry about winning to pay the bills.

 

While I am not a betting man, I would be willing to lay a wager on the following:

1. The team does not take the game seriously, and does not practice well this week.

2. Because the team does not take the game seriously, they think all they need to do to win is show up and thus play poorly.

3. The game is closer than expected early on, and there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth on this board. Chicken littles are running for cover.

4. Starters play longer than desired, leading to even more wailing and gnashing of teeth.

5. The Gators win comfortably, but not nearly as comfortably as they would have won if Spurrier had been coach.

6. The tv business is booming the next day at BestBuy, after many remotes were thrown through screens.

7. Emergency rooms see an uptick in admissions involving liver pain.

8. Napier and staff get roasted on this board post game for not having the team ready to play, and a few dozen other transgressions. Can we bring Spurrier back?

Anyone have any ideas where I can place a bet on this?

how is it that a spurrier was never flat against lower competition? Also, while down this rabbit hole, I remember at the time being disappointed that zook couldn’t win the big games, but in hind sight, he won all the games he was supposed to. Kentucky, Vandy, SC, d2, directional state, we never lost those games (it was unthinkable until recently). But in hind sight, maybe he didn’t do as bad as I remember him doing. Still not great, the midday game in the swamp against tenn with the timeouts heading into half and the bomb into the end zone. And that little $.99 notepad in his shirt pocket, taking notes like he had a head coach quiz on Monday .

 

He even took on the frats! But he will be forever remembered for ceremoniously beating Florida State on the day that Doak was named Bobby Bowden Field. That was classic.

That team was a fraudulent natty team; two losses.

The difference is this year we have leaders and chemistry. Some players this week have said they didn't get the message last year after wins they let up. Part of rebuilding the culture is handling success.

Makes tonight's game intriguing. Also interesting to see when and how much we rotate non starters and 3rd string.
