49ers' Ricky Pearsall released from hospital after being shot in attempted robbery Good synopsis. 17yoa targeted him because of a Rolex. 4pm
Apparently the bullet did not hit any major organs. He is already lifting weights. A one in a million shot that missed all organs. Boston Whaler Gator
From an article: "Lynch said there was no damage to organs, nerves or ribs, describing it as a “through and through.” "Multiple people down there said this is about as good an outcome as you could have in this situation,” he said." But Dude, if they have a gun, don't fight, just give it up. Not smart.
Teen arrested in shooting of 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall 'very sorry,' attorney says Claims to be very remorseful. Charged with attempted murder but not as an adult yet, CA law prohibits juveniles form being charged as an adult without judicial approval. Shockingly he has pending charges in another county per a probation officer.
Too bad Ricky didn’t end him. I wonder if that’s the first violent crime the guy ever committed. Sure wish we could take the trash of the streets permanently.
Too bad he’s not very dead because our system will rehab him and give him another opportunity to kill some one else.
Kid needs to be put away. Coddlefornia will give the kid at least one more chance to hurt the innocent before they get serious about incarceration.
Juvenile Courts are designed for rehabilitation and not punishment, like adult courts are. It always depends on a weighing of the defendant's age and prior record and severity of the crime charged, and armed robbery is one of the most serious . . . so the possibility of rehabilitation . . . vs protection of the public and the likelihood of reoffending. You don't want to remand to adult criminal court unless necessary. However, if one is older and with a record and a serious charge you favor remanding. I've done it and it's sometimes very borderline and difficult. He's "sorry." That is worth little. May be all his attorney has to work with though. Edit: Someone said this defendant already had a probation officer so the lesser restrictive means had been tried. There are juvenile detention centers (similar to adult jails) and I'd bet that's the least that happens. Keep him there until he's 18. The closer he already is, the less that accomplishes and the more likely he gets remanded.
