At the 2:55 mark, Golden looks about 2" shorter than Niels. Niels is listed at 6'-5", and Golden was listed at 6'-3" when he played.

I am 4’11”. I met Golden . He is 2” taller than me. That makes Lane 5’2”. Castleton is 5’9”. Wilt was 6’1”.

I'm hoping we see CC and JJ together in a big lineup at some point early in the season just to find out what happens.

JJ was coming on before the eye injury. I'm excited about his potential. Could be a nice compliment to Castleton.

Yep. His conditioning was allowing him to go for more than just a few minutes at a time, and he was improving his defense, also largely due to better conditioning. Not fouling out in four minutes was also a byproduct.

Agreed, his presence alone bothers the other team when driving to the hoop. He rebounds well and was beginning to be valuable on the offense too, just with dump offs and put backs and chippies. I’m excited for him this year I think he can hold his own.

Mainly to give us a real big...okay, a REAL BIG...in the middle while Castleton plays a stretch 4 and weakside defender in order to hone his skills for a real NBA tryout.

And as an aside (mainly) to win easier some game that pops up (FSU?) where the other team has some damn big/stout bigs. Probably more for the tourney.

Managing playing time for 13 talented players is going to be an adventure. How do you push CC to the 4 for some playing time when you have Fudge, Felder and the German kid there? How do you push Fudge and Felder to the 3 for some playing time when you have Reeves and Richard there? You might be able to push Reeves to the 2 for some playing time, but you have Jones and Kugel there. The Gators seem to have an embarrassment of riches for this coming season. It should be a blast.

Nope, but it is a practical impossibility to keep 13 quality players happy. That's why I keep saying that college basketball needs a college football type of redshirt rule. If we had that in basketball, we could play Aberdeen and the German kid up to 10 games each without them using up a year of eligibility, which, hopefully, would keep them happy. I am hoping that we are not one of the schools that has a ton of kids transferring out every year.
