If everyone other than the seniors stay next year, Florida could put in a lineup where the shortest player would be Chinyelu.
Rioux. He certainly will have no trouble seeing the entire court. If he has some passing skills, he could be a great one.
Micah, Chinyelu, Condon, Rioux, Mikic. As far as I can tell, this would be the second tallest starting lineup in basketball history, behind a team called the Erie Bayhawks from the ABA which once started a 432 inch lineup.
I can’t remember exactly when, but I seem to recall Dinka University having an extraordinarily tall team many years ago.
I REALLY hope his body control continues to improve as he settles into his size and frame after a lifetime of growth spurts. Looks like the training staff is doing a good job so far, he moves better than he did in HS
Man if Oliver could catch a football imagine him on short passes at the goal line...it would be guaranteed every time.
https://athlonsports.com/college/fl...ew-update-7-foot-9-olivier-rioux-availability Florida head coach Todd Golden provided an update on Rioux’s situation on Saturday before his No. 1 seed Gators took on No. 3 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. Golden suggested it will be a "challenge" for Rioux to get in the rotation next season, but didn't rule out the possibility "down the road" if he keeps putting in the work. "He obviously doesn't play for us this year," Golden said. "I think it's a challenge next year. But if he sticks with it down the road, I think he can become an impactful player."
