52-20 . He did it once. I think he’s the epitome of badasses but it’s actually really hard to believe he was the last man standing only once.

All of this loosing is a horribly unsettling, and IMHO we need the following: (optional reading)
    • Athletic and angry 'big uglies' on the offensive line-only the best!
    • The defensive version of the same thing-only the best
    • We need disruptive edge rushers. Fast, powerful-only the best
    • We need an OC and it has never been more obvious-only the best
    • We need a HC that can avoid the minutia, getting lost in the weeds and do what it takes to create wins.
I think the skill positions shine when both lines are in place and coaching is outstanding.

Coach Napier, so far, has not delivered the goods on the field. He might be a great motivational speaker. He might be be able to convince kids to make right choices in life. And, that's great, commendable. The problem is, he has been hired to bring back the University of Florida to football dominance. He has failed miserably at that so far. He might be better served being a motivational speaker. A corporate speaker. A leader for motivational transformation for Fortune 500 companies.

Would you want him leading a platoon into a forward area?

    Some other thoughts:
    • Johnsons 71 yard TD run was the best play I remember under Billy.
    • DJ Lagway created his own positive plays through determination and athleticism
    • Billy reminds me of Zook. Hard-headed, resistant to change. But Zook was better.
    • Gator boosters/UF need to up their game and 'pay' for the best, get the best!
    • We are not prepared, nor do we have the personnel/or coaching, as far as I can tell, to compete at a high level
This is the harshest I've ever been towards coach Napier. But he lacks fire and has not been able to produce the results we so desperately need.

    I could be wrong too...

Congrats to Miami. They looked better than Georgia.

    Go Gators.

The problem is the University. The last 14 years aren't by accident, it took serious neglect. We're > 10 years late to the "process" format & now it has been rendered obsolete. We're purposefully behind with the transfer portal & NIL - those disruptions were our chance to get back to being elite. It seems boosters won't ante up until they feel the University will change. How do we initiate change? Maybe a mass protest where everyone enters the stadium gates 10 minutes late & the broadcast starts with an empty stadium.

How does this matchup have anything to do with that? We're going to be a bottom 3 team in the SEC while Miami are now favorites to win the ACC.

52-20 was in 1996. He had some weak offenses with USCe, one year finishing 100th in total offense, and 88th, 85th and 97th three other years. In 1999 and 1999, Kentucky had the top offenses in the SEC, but neither Mumme nor Leach thought much about the defense.

To think SOS was only an offensive guru is a great disservice to him.

Are they? My point is that many of us dismissed the Canes as just another weak ACC team that we would beat by two scores. How many players read that nonsense and agreed?

Gator Nation needs to get off their high horse.

Ironically Zook and Billy have opposite problems, but both might be best defined and illustrated by their Miami game.

Zook's problem was he couldn't get out of his own way. Dude was a great recruiter, and could coach a team to be able to beat anyone like beating the national champion LSU team and costing UGA a natty shot, but he would take his foot off the gas too early with a small lead, the other team would come back late in the 4th, take the lead and the gators would have to play catch up late in the game against a team with the momentum. Nowhere better was this illustrated than the "fade at Dade" where we were quite frankly beating the stuffing out of them, Zook calls the horses off, we start trying to run the ball more, the offense stalls and Miami under Brock Berlin comes roaring back. Then we can't turn the horses back on against what is now a juiced Miami defense

Billy's problem is he thinks he's a lot better and smarter than he is. Trying to give us 2-3 DCs but no OCs because he thinks its clever. And this game might have been the pinnacle of all his failings coming together. Our offense having the most pedestrian play calling in the world AND our defense crapping the bed despite being overhauled and bringing in another DC. It feels like we have no OC AND effectively no DC.

The one time we got pressure on Ward he threw a pick. Dude isn’t Heisman level.

Most of the night he had 6-7 seconds back there and was smoking cigars until his WR got free.

My point is we didn’t throw to them… Are you watching LSU and Mason Taylor at TE catch ball after ball after ball?

As I said 2 1/2 years ago, it does not take three years to win and several on this board did not care for that comment.

100% correct, and it’s funny to me that up until 330 yesterday, many thought Billy was the guy.

Boardingham caught 1 pass for 4 yards and no other tight end caught a pass. Our tight ends were hyped pre-season and Napier said they would be a major part of our offense. But the fact is that none of them can block and Napier is a terrible play caller. I agree with you - Napier has had 3 years to get things going and he's simply incapabale. This program is a train wreck and the AD and the head coach should be shown the door ASAP - package deal.

    Thats a joke..

    UM loses 3 games.

We hardly are one of the 2 most talented teams they okay all year.

We are now a total joke.

What on earth does throwing to a TE have to do with how long it takes to win? Nevermind the fact that LSU has 10 points in a half and you're acting like it's the greatest show on turf... Just nonsensical all around.
