Bigger issue is that Billy didn’t notice that SnC was a disaster up front. Allegedly he researched all aspects of recent history. The SnC problem should have been a bigger red flag. Lower process priority. A lot of poor hires and accountability. Ymmv

A bad day of Gator football (which yesterday certainly was) is better than a good day of work....

I'm pretty sure he is alive and well: Get-Tutenized

You might be thinking of Rick Tuten former FSU Punter.

This statement gets made after every team that plays UF. The Heisman ceremony could be a vs Gator montage.

    3 years in:

Both lines of scrimmage are sub-par, at best.
The offense is still rudimentary, no identity.
The defense is still a mess.
Ron Roberts appeared to be the actual DC yesterday.
I guess AA has been regulated to being an assistant something-something, up in the box, @ $1.3mil per.
The loss was UF's first in a home opener since 1989, snapping an NCAA-best 34-game winning streak.
Most points given up in a home opener, ever.
UF is now staring down a 4th consecutive losing season.

Cam Ward was unimpressed with the Swamp, said playing at USC & Oregon was much tougher. Ouch!

We can and should talk about every aspect except maybe ST. Guess if given the option I would gladly go back to inept ST rather then O and D.

You might as well get used to the idea that we will not be relevant again until 2028, at the earliest. Even if Napier is fired this year. Either way we will lose our recruiting class and our better players will hit the portal. At this point, I'm not sure if I blame them. We will go back into the rebuilding mode. We've become the patsy team that everyone schedules for their homecoming game.

This sums it up pretty well. I like CBN as a person but he is def NOT an SEC caliber HC. Looks like we suffer through another failure - maybe SS (or whomever) can finally get this right. In the meantime, Lagway should be given the reins of the offense - his skill set way overcomes his lack of experience. At least put a little chance for excitement in there while we grind through the season and (most likely) another coaching change….

He should have run that play that sprung Montrell Johnson around the end more than once. Maybe he did and I missed it.

Hate the idea of Kiffin as I get the sense he is a real slimeball.

I expected this team to be competitive yesterday. Seemed to me they were out on a field trip for a day at the beach. It was truly embarassing.

Someone referred to BN as "our aww shucks coach" and now I'm starting to see it.

As I posted on another thread, roughing the passer after stopping the canes on the first posession pretty much ruined the entire day for me. I stopped watching after we squandered our opportunity after the interception and made it 7-3.

I told the person I was with at that time that the Gators would lose by at least 3 TD's.

I hate being right some times.

The most painful part of all of this is how long we have waited to get back to a point where we are legit again and it seems EVERYONE else has gotten ahead of us.

No longer are we a middle-tier SEC team we are a lower-tier SEC team.

Remeber an SOS quote during the '91 season where he said after the loss to Syracuse how (something to the effect of) if we don't play with emotion we are just a mediocre team.

    The effort yesterday was embarassing!

I got up early and squeezed in both.

One of the better things about my job is that I can honestly say none of my immediate coworkers are overcompensated inept screwups who do not belong in their positions.
