We really didn't adjust to the what Miami was doing. They were going to hold and p.i. receivers as long as they could get away with it. Our receivers didn't man up and go for the ball. Our only great pass defended by a db was Castell. He actually went for the ball. O/w coverage was pretty much nonexistent.

I care about post season polls and trophies not framed Athlon pre season perspectives.

He was stopped at the LOS often, and many times illegally. Palmer mentioned it on air. They needed to run him behind the line to get him loose to run a route. Total debacle.

He enjoyed being a dick too much. What did he stand to gain from refusing to play Anthony Richardson or not only refusing to bench Marco Wilson for the shoe toss, but also making him a team captain (other than pissing everybody off)?

Miami was definitely the better team and was always going to beat us (and no I did not predict it). The embarrassment was not showing any improvement on offense or defense. We couldn't even make a contest of it and Mertz chose to have his worst game ever. Billy's play calling has been critiqued ad nauseum, but to have an announcer say there is just no imagination on national tv is insulting. I'm just a fan on the internet and yet I don't have the answer.

I still think he enjoys it, based on some of his tweets over the years.

But it does mean you can be flat out wrong as hell. You know, like my assessment of just about everything pertaining to this game and the prospects for this current staff.

I prefer it braised with a nice sauce

Like I said I hate Norville while he is at F$U. But I admit he's a good coach. My top pick would prob be Kiffen but not sure if Gators would ever accept him after all his UT antagonism towards the Gators, but he can coach as well. You came up with zero names so maybe you can use your brain.

If Billy does get fired at some point this season, I will patiently wait for the inevitable ESPN article where they interview many anonymous SEC coaches about how easy it was to game plan for Billy’s UF teams.

FWIW, I’m predicting that Billy gets fired after starting 2-5 and getting shellacked by UGA.

I put this back to conditioning and coaching. Not physical enough to fight through (all not just him) and then not alternate and better routes and the running of them.

The answer is that what must be done inevitably should be done immediately.

Absolutely undeniably obvious that Napier is not competent at his current position.

Stricklin said just this week that he expects Napier to be the UF head coach for a long time. What is he going to do now? Issue a statement saying "obviously I spoke too soon"?
