That is not sustainable and got lost in the impressive victory. UF had 1 sack 3 TFL, UK had 2 sacks and 8 TFL. Those plays with Mertz were drive killers more often than not. DJ covered that up by averaging like 39 yards per completion.

Also notice not a single person bringing up DJs 50% completion percentage, rightfully so because it doesn't matter. Explosive plays are how you score in college football, been beating that drum for 2 years.

If we are legitimately the 15th best team in the country, there is only one win left on our schedule. With this schedule, a team ranked 15-20 would be expected to finish 5-7. We are on track to finish 5-7. Just a rough schedule to try and prove anything against. And next year isn't really any better.

Billy is a decent OC, but his play calling is suffering because he has additional responsibilities now. He can delegate the head coaching responsibilities or he can delegate the playcalling responsibilities, but he is getting paid to be the head coach, so the choice here seems kind of obvious.

Billy is a pretty resilient guy, particularly seeing there are a lot calling for his removal. His play calling improved last night, but if it weren't for defensive scores we'd still be a bit low on the total score. I mean we have a great punter, but I'd rather see more passing. We also have a decent running game. But I'm still am baffled why we don't use Hayden more. Maybe we're saving him for Georgia.

Letting a guy get a 100 yard TD was a little suspect.

Critical? As always, but i sure like what we saw last night. The kids are feeling it. That was a feel good win. Hope there's another couple left in the tank.

    Go Gators.

You are not. I feel the same way. It is not happening as fast as any of us would want, after all we’re in impatient group. But good food takes time to marinate and Napier has been forced to start with facilities and then recruiting and building a staff and making all those ingredients marinate. So I’m hoping that’s what we’re starting to see. And if that’s the case the next few years could really be something great.

Those upcoming games are merely opportunities. Greatness comes from seizing the moment and kicking the crap out of those opportunities.

I agree with both of you. I’m sure a lot of people like me hope the Gators win everything in every sport.
Last night was great to see and hopefully the Gators can win 2-3 more games before the season ends and go to a bowl game. I’d like to see Billy be successful because off the field he clearly is a class act and has brought in class act kids that try to do things the right way.
My uncle was a huge Florida fan like myself and he passed away suddenly last Sunday. The Gators did everything him and I always talked about last night. Thing such as, get pressure on the QB, run the ball, and create turnovers. I’m sure he was happy last night watching from above seeing the Gators dominate an SEC opponent.
    Go Gators!

DJ with a world of potential. He has to work on his eye discipline. He needs to move the safety with his eyes to open up seams and he has to take his eyes off the defense to sell the play fakes because those are very telegraphed. He's young so it will come with experience, but I hope he is working on those things extensively during the bye. UGA will jump those.

And by all accounts, Kentucky is supposed to have a decent defense and our offensive line actually looked like a cohesive unit. What the hell is going on?

I don’t think we had our shit together to start the year. Lots of pieces that hadn’t played together, but they look a lot better today than they did the first couple weeks of the season.

I would argue pieces that got a lot of PT in those games are not getting snaps more recently and all of a sudden we look a lot better. Coaching and preparation failure.

He gets his feet back under himself and is downhill again quickly after making a cut. Always on balance and low. Doesn’t look fun to tackle.

Four plays over forty yards and conservative kinda don’t go together.

Long passes are lower percentage. Kentucky played that risk and got burnt several times.
