I mean if we are putting blame on QB’s, DJ carries as much or more blame. Mertz has consistently moved the ball with accuracy. DJ will improve 100%, but a healthy Mertz gave us a better shot of winnng.

Oh I agree. Personally I don't like repeated failures so if I was out of my level I'd have the self awareness to leave without making myself look like a moron.

These guys don't think like that, it's mostly ego or something I don't get it. He's made $21,000,000 or something from uf already. Just go.

yeah, on the road with a back up qb, third string tailback (no Montrell and no Webb). The offense struggled in the red zone all night long. The operation wasn’t smooth with turnovers and penalties and bone headed decisions all night in the red zone.

instead of asking the true freshman qb to run an entire series from the 25 yard line and have your defense defend the same…I’d rather my freshman qb try 1 play to score (the 2 point conversion) and let my defense defend the entire field for 29 seconds. Better odds and even if not better odds…sometimes tou need to make decisions on feel in the moment.

if the gators ran a quality play call on the 2 point conversion (not some Billy special- but a play into the end zone) and we didn’t get it…even with a loss I think he would’ve come out looking better to his players for giving them a shot and the fans even in a loss.

instead, he got another chance to as OC to show his ineptitude and the buffoon that he was all night on offense.

Yes. It was the year before that he lost. That was another game where the team had a nice lead.

Only thing I can say positive about CBN, is those guys keep playing hard for him. He’s gotten rid of the knuckle heads.

He is not a good coach.

We don't have "that dude" on the sidelines wearing the head coaching hat, that's the biggest problem.

Unless you believe he is "that dude" for us? We are now 3-8 on the road with him, which currently comes out to a whopping 1 road win per year.

Some of you guys are amazing. I'm know fan of Billy, but he didn't lose us this game with his play calling. Losing our starting QB and RB around the half, and Lagway not being ready for this moment, DID. Went better than expected. Go Gators.

The thing is if it's true that the improved defensive play is due to Napier, I'm more stunned. What he couldn't do as an OC, he did as a DC. Or worse, the guys he hired to run the defense had to be bailed out by him.

The debate over PAT vs. 2-point conversion seems silly to me, because we should not have been in that situation to begin with. We didn't lose because we kicked a PAT. We were inevitably going to lose the whole time. I didn't come right and say it, because frankly it would have been deleted if I had. But I'm not alone. Most of us knew one way or the other, we were going to lose that game after only scoring 3 points in the 1st half.

No he did lose the game....all the missed opportunities in the 1st half doomed us in the 2nd half. Easily should have been 17-0 at the half...easily.

I’m tired of looking at him and of thinking about him. Do we most likely lose most of our remaining games with an interim HC? Yes but we most likely lose them with Napier anyway, he has gone in the tank the last two years at the end of the season and I have no doubt he will make it three for three if this exercise in futility continues.
