Time out called on stopped clocked cost us this game. I mean the Defense played tremendous. This is a signature loss for CBN...and a consequential loss for the team with Mertz and Johnson out for the rest of the season. We have 1 win left in this season!
Napier let his team down, he let down each and every one of his players who played MORE than well enough to win easily. He doesn’t DESERVE to coach these kids another day, they deserve better.
Not Monday morning QB’ing it, just thought it was the right spot to go for 2 and the win. One play, your best play, for 3yds and the win, knock them out. Funny things happen in OT.
Two things I really didn't understand... Not running DJ on the 4th and 3 inches and calling a sweep with Wilson Running Mertz instead of Montrell on the goal line after Montrell was killing it
just a bunch of wasted motion on offense. unnecesarily complicated plays that go nowhere. It's like he's trying to be creative but has no creativity - and he's just overly complicating the offense for the players and it's completely ineffective to boot. Like a 50-page Powerpoint that doesn't really say anything. KISS.
Ya the players deserve better. Florida athletics won’t make a change unless it affects money which it won’t
As a Knoxville resident and UF fan I'm relieved that it was a close game so not much to say from UT guys and also that this is surely the stake through the heart of this 1,537 person strong coaching staff. Obviously nails aren't keeping them in the coffin where they belong
You can bet Vandy would have gone for 2. On the road, unranked, against Top 10 competition. You never ever go for the OT unless you have shown you can move the ball all night and we haven't with Lagway in. And sure enough look what happened in OT. We get pushed back and missed the FG and Tennessee takes the ball right down our throats never once trying to play for the FG.
I'll give it to Billy, he said No to convention (common sense) tonight, and keeping his job, and did it his way. He will have that when he leaves Florida.
I go back and forth with going for 2 but I wonder if “analytics” say we had a higher win chance going for 2 than taking it to OT and getting the win, I say that because he is so into analytics
