Tell me again how well we performed in the game immediately after last year's UT win? And the one immediately after that? We'll see this Sat if they can maintain playing hard, but its not like we haven't seen this movie before.
Are we really @ 39th? Last I checked we were rated 15 out of the 16 SEC teams and that was before a recruit or two bailed out.
Yep. Started every season decently only to crap the bed for the rest of it 22: 4-2 followed by 2-4 and an L in the bowl game 23: 4-2 followed by 1-5 24: 3-3 Seems to be trending in the right direction.
I see it differently, to me the past 2 weeks have shown us the best Gator football since September 3rd, 2022 (Utah game which we won 29-26). Why would fire a guy midseason when the squad finally looks like a team? If you pull that lever we are starting a rebuild all over again, exactly at the point where the defense is finally showing life after more than half a decade in sub-mediocracy. The offense is serviceable and might be great with a good OC. I think instead of firing him you throw him a lifeline by stipulating he must hire a legit OC and hand the reigns over. I'm feeling a little bit vindicated
These were two huge wins but we still have a long way to go. 8-5 is a step in the right direction but I wouldn’t call it a success yet. I really hope Napier survives and pulls this out but the recruiting situation in the next two weeks will tell us a lot. You can see how important lagway is to the program. A few 5 stars can change a team’s fortune.
I'll call it for you since you don't want to believe! How you can still be saying "Show me!" after the run they have put together recently, beating 2 ranked teams and very nearly beating 2 more prior to that. This team has clearly made a huge leap in the last couple of months. Yes we stunk in early September but it's very different now.
