The coaching by Napier in this game reminds me that Urban needs to be added to the Ring of Honor immediately. I know some people still hold a grudge against some of the things that he allowed while he was here, but he did win 2 natty's and winning 1 is the automatic qualifier.
That was horrible and 100% crooked. It’s silly to suggest that one screwing by the refs cost us the game, but it made a huge difference right then and cost us a certain 3 points and likely 7. Giant loss of momentum at an early point in the game. I’m so damn sick and tired of getting screwed by crooked refs
Just in case you missed CBN addressing the media at the UT Post Game Conference...The resemblance is uncanny.
If stats were the only qualifier, it’d be done. I’m thinking integrity and accountability go into the honor part . Somebody doesn’t want him in.
So pay CBN his buyout and waste more money on a temporary raise to make someone an interim coach? With the outside hopes of going to a bowl game that players opt out of?
On the Mertz fumble....I miss having a coach that would have put Watson or Cam Jackson in the backfield, in front of Montrell and just shove it down the defenses throat.
Ooh that's bad. But the 1980 game wins by a mile. That game Gator players, on offense and defense, kept making great plays in key moments. The Gator team made us all start to believe the Gators might just pull out an unbelievable win against eventual national champion Georgia; only to have our hearts ripped out by Lindsay Scott and Buck Belue. On the other hand, BN has me so well conditioned for failure, that I'm expecting coach will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. So yeah, I felt bad, and especially for the players and fans, but I was hardly surprised. Coaching mediocrity and apathy will do that to you.
I don't think I've ever been more proud of our kids while simultaneously more disgusted with our coaching. These kids deserve better.
I’m excited too. Being in games is much better than getting the crap beaten out of us. Moral victories are for losers!
That's the first I've seen the Chumlee label. Thanks for giving a true laugh out loud moment this morning.
What a novel idea. I bet no one else in coaching has ever thought of that. Sarcasm. Any coach with his salt would use that kind of formation if only to server as a distraction for a quick slant or pitch out to a quick RB.
I am just kind of numb today after that game last night, it was totally frustrating for many reasons, mostly for points left on the field! I honestly didn't expect us to be competitive with UT but at the end of the day we should have pulled the upset! Now we have lost our starting QB and RB, time for the youngsters to really step up but I don't think it will be as easy as some on here think!
