Remember all those first game suspensions..especially that credit card incident and players being accused of battering girlfriends

I do not know if being diplomatic is the case here. He knew there was a talent gap with this team compared to the other SEC team. He tried to counter that gap by playing it too safe on offense and defense.
There comes a time when you throw out the safe part and have your players line up and play to win. In our case our players are not able to play up to the upper tier teams of College Football. However, they will never reach expand their capabilities by playing it safe.

Playing it safe? If anything he gets too aggressive with his decisions.

I was mostly referring to the defense strategy. Yes he is not the D Coordinator, but he is the HBC.

    Agree.

I support Coach 100%. The talent gap would make Captain Obvious blush. We don’t even look like UGA. The level of size and athleticism in UGAs big guys was night and day from ours.

Coach has the players playing hard and not quitting. That is important.

Don't think he's trying to play it safe but I would agree that he's not throwing the kitchen sink into these games in lieu of a teaching moment. I believe we could move the ball better by running AR more but he clearly wants to develop AR into something more than that. I agree with his approach although our fan base is about to poison the well unless we start winning.

The gators played better tonight also in my opinion. That was the number 1 team in the country out there and they got all the breaks and bounces tonight - I saw improvement on the defensive side of the ball and we are playing the number 1 defense and still put up more points than anyone else. But the negative nellies want to indict our coaches. I don't expect any change with them no what happens from here on out.

Why do you expect improvement with a new coach, new offensive philosophy, new defensive philosophy, new starting QB, etc.? We've been in every game this year. I'm not even going to bring up the good to great coaches that had a worse record in their first year than the previous one. I know nothing is going to change your mind but it does get depressingly old.

The ‘fan base’ has no impact. This defense gave up 555 yards. Torched in the first half.

It’s okay to share criticism and to write out frustrations- this is a message board right?

7 penalties shows lack of discipline.

There’s still an awful lot of posters here who
Think we are ‘plenty’ talented. They will constantly refer to the overall talent composite rating. We are above Tennessee in that rating.

2 of those penalties were phantom calls, especially the PI right before halftime.

Losing to Georgia stings. But anyone who can’t see the improvement of our defense against a very good and talented football team yesterday isn’t being fair to our team and coaches.
We are on the right track but it’s mighty hard to look good against Georgia lately.
We have a realistic chance to win-out. That is what all Gators should be pulling for.

Next week will tell us a lot. That’s a game we need to win. AM won’t roll over. Both teams playing for their seasons from here on out.
Achane is legit. If we do not purposely scheme for him it would be a shame. They have a true freshman QB. Will we bring pressure like we did last night? You would think the answer would be yes. I was impressed with our defense last night effort wise and Dean and Burney played good games. Do we come out and jump on them or are we sleepwalking?

We are #10 in the country in fewest penalty yards per game! This has been one of the biggest improvements in the team this year and you pick it to make your point?!?

My gator friend. Im talking about the breakdown in that area last night. This is a thread about Ga game right?

A yes less penalties overall in season great.

    7 penalties is disappointing
