I saw that too.. shadeur sanders did the same thing to a CSU player, idk if it was intentional, but he went straight for the dudes eyes. Not one comment was made and I was sitting there thinking am I the only one who saw it?
Somewhat but Ant isn’t one of those guys so he gets a pass with me. It wasn’t all roses for sure but we checked more boxes than we missed last night by a long shot and we beat a decent team. No longer winless against rivals and Kentucky is still going to be just as tough as they were yesterday. Time to go back to work.
LOL I saw it. Thought nothing of it. We all hear the stories of what players do to each other in the trenches and piles. I'm sure they were doing the same to him.
Tenn was doing a good job of hurrying the game and while a little confused, our guys were making adjustments to their sets without any big blunders. I think that was some growing by our defense to look, decide, and lineup with their own minds instead of having to be told from the sidelines. They knew they were up three scores and they played like they knew the score and time. Not perfect by any means but I didn’t see heads down at any time. They lined up and played the next play. Both sides of the ball looked like the kept their focus and determination.
I kinda thought I was dreaming, I was in and out throughout the Colorado game. It's just not a typical thing you see when guys are standing, it's usually under the pile type stuff.
NOTE: not blaming the fight on Mertz. But if only to protect himself, why was he scrambling around with almost no time remaining ? Why didn’t he just take a knee ?
I'm not, Tenn is one of the better passing attacks we'll see all year and we held them to 13 points. I'll take it.
It's been said before, but maybe not in this way, if Crawshaw didnt have the yips Tennessee is driving 80 yards instead of 50 on some drives as well. Which means more clock moving and game being shortened. He had another tough game, I hope he can shake whatever it is. I understood the play calling, but I was pacing a hole in my living floor as it was unfolding. I wasn't really worried until that Tennessee quick score to McCoy. I knew we needed a drive, nothing special just 5 mins and 2-3 first downs.
