After watching a lot of football across the country this weekend, it’s clear that Tre Wilson is a 5 star that wasn’t. He’d play meaningful snaps at every program in the country, and start for 98% of them.
I have already accepted that the team is what it is. It certainly will not get any prettier with tougher opponents.
Did anyone else find the commentary by the announcers interesting where they were discussing HC's who have given up OC duties? Also made reference to Billy mentioning how much time it takes on top of being the HC, that Billy mentioned he has young kids that he wants to spend time with, etc. Between that convo and the SDS article, my personal opinion is that a decision has already been made to hire a OC in the offseason. Either way, great win by the good guys.
Those are reasonable concerns and I agree he can improve those parts of his game. I believe it's also appropriate to remember that he is really just a placeholder until the QB recruits arrive, and being serviceable is not necessarily a bad thing.
This team is all over the place. If they would execute better each week I would give them a good chance to see the top of the conference next season, but as it is I never know what team is going to show up. I still think the coaching staff is capable, but confused in some areas. SOS is right- the ball needs to be more vertical and longer. I wish he would temporarily come on board and teach Napier how to game plan the offense for the Ga. game.
Alot of the time….Mertz makes the OL look bad. i LOOOOOVE that Waites is back Our D won’t have issues with finesse offenses Webb will be beloved like Pierce when he leaves UF
True, for one of the five stats I provided. But given such a high completion percentage, the YPA is like a running game, but with more yards per down (although hahaha, today we had 7.2 yards per rush.) More passing today, more passing yards than normal. Combine that with no interceptions...I think efficient is a reasonable word. That said...I concede, 7.1 YPA is low for SEC averages.
