CBN, PT & the coaches inherited a team that was abandoned by Mullen and Grantham. I think the word 'abandoned' is more appropriate than saying the team quit. New system, new coaches, trying to create a new, winning culture. Patience by us fans is what they deserved, not flack. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however a few games into this project and we all need to continue to be patient. The theories on CBN and PT's 'schemes' were, IMO, half baked. Obviously the work they did on building a winning culture is starting to pay dividends.
It's still going to take a few years to catch Georgia, so we have to be patient. I truly believe we got the right guy to coach us.

Happy to see the aggressiveness on defense and the turnovers. Happy to see the ground game do so well. Thought we kind of took the pedal off the gas a bit in the second half...I prefer the "go for the throat" approach, but perhaps SC played better than in the first half. Finally good to see AR run the ball. Wish he would learn some touch and improve his timing. Threw a lot of balls behind guys tonight. But if was an encouraging game. Maybe we need to hire the special teams coordinator from SC. We have good kickers, but we could use better returns and at least some pressure on FG attempts and punts. Let's see if we continue to improve next week and against FSU.

    Inside your head.
If AR were to be drafted it would be as a project. He wouldn't last long as a running QB in the NFL. Still, some team might draft him as trade bait so we'll just have to wait and see.
The remainder of this season should be fun.

I have it on the best of authorities that this was AR’s last game at The Swamp.

Odd peeve of mine - but I hate when sports references are made “the first time since…” and then the comparison is fairly recent history. 2017 was just a few years ago. This is not a situation where a large amount of time has passed since a big milestone. Using a phrase like “first time since” should be reserved in order to demonstrate the scarcity and infrequency of an achievement (IMO having at minimum 10 years past if not more). “First playoff appearance since 2018”… what? That was just a few years ago. First playoff appearance since 2001…now we are taking about a serious time lapse between achievements. Sorry weird rant, I just see “first time since” used way too much in sports reporting.

Wait, I saw him dancing and jumping on his way to sing the alma mater and he ran in front of the rest of the team clapping his hands and looked like he was loving life. First impression was your post was in jest. I didn’t keep the recorded game on after that, so I didn’t see him walk off the field. Did he really look dejected? ( I was out of town so I had to record and watch)

I hear you on special teams but it looks like adjustments are being made. I think Ricky was the punt return man the entire second half. I say he or Etienne should get the return reps
