POST Game Discussion Ole Piss vs Gators

This is especially sweet because I remember when Ole Miss would beat us and the their cheerleaders would beat up our cheerleaders.

 

What do we think the chances are that CNB hires an OC next year...and if so would that influence Lagway's decision to stay. He seems to love Napier.

Maybe a passing coordinator. I think Napier is really creative in the run game, but the passing concepts need attention. Lagway ain’t going anywhere. If he were, he wouldn’t be out there on one leg giving it his all

These players are quickly becoming some of the favorite players in a Gator uniform in a long time. What a season this turned into after the horrendous start. This team is what most of us thought they should have been from the start of the season. I too wanted Billy gone after that Miami game and especially after TAMU b/c this team right now is what we SHOULD have seen from the beginning. But credit that Napier, the coaches, and players looked at themselves and are becoming a TEAM to be feared. How many times have we seen our teams lose players to injury and crumble? This season the injury bug seems to have ratified the players and have raised the bar that they ALL have each others backs. Recruiting is also getting so red hot that BN may get one of the best O hauls in probably UF history, which I know sounds crazy but it's possible if he lands 3 or 4 big flips.

Now after saying all that BN has GOT to go land an OC in the off season, imho he should have no choice at all in not hiring one. Hang on to all the D coaches as well, they have done such an amazing job after the first few games I hope they all get massive raises as too. So if these happen next season should be really special! Also I will eat some crow on Napier, but he damn better keep this up lol.

 

Possibly but I live in TN and there’s still no love for Lane and an everybody beat UGA mentality. I’m good with those

 

A passing game coordinator is an interesting concept for an addition without interrupting what seems to be working. Remember, we do have an offensive coordinator but I don't know if he just sets the game plan up and Napier calls all the plays or what. So, a little revamping to shore up this weakness may be all it takes.

We need a very competent OC but I seriously doubt BN will hire one.

 

It could all go south as early as next week but I'm on board. Still don't understand why we were so bad in the first few games and look so good now - even with a seriously depleted defense. This team has heart and I think it will only get better. Billy was right about this team being on the cusp for year three. I'll be over in Awesome Recruiting a lot in upcoming days.

Feels nice for a change. Seems like for a long time our calling card was the exact opposite.

 

If ABC hadn't cut away, maybe we would have seen our cheerleaders stomping theirs.
