I deleted this from the OGT and you re-posted it word-for-word so I'll let everyone see you are twice now accusing Coach Napier of not even trying and wanting to get fired to collect his buyout.
Good news: AR makes throws/Runs only a handful of dudes can The oline and backs are good recruiting looks good Bad news: I don’t care what year of a rebuild you’re in- even Southern forced a punt vs LSU soft zone cover 3 doesn’t work every play This offense can work - with a bunch of 5 stars but you also have to know WHEN to call certain plays and what down to call them. There is ZERO flow to this offense. They follow up gash plays with head scratching runs into the pile. There is no rhyme or reason to it. The scheme is fine. The play calling is garbage Every successful team has some ability to go 4-5 wide and beat you with tempo and they know WHENA to call stuff. I hate to say it - we need a good OC and a better showing from DC for this to work. Hire a good play caller like . A guy that maybe goes against your philosophy a little but is aggressive .. and maybe promote Raymond to DC. Also- anywhere Bates has been his defenses look like this. He got fired from NC and given the LB job here and we are all over the map
Billy will get it done. Stay positive. Yes, the Defense is horrific. Not just tonight, but the last 3 years. It won't stay that way.
We need top defense recruits asap. Napier needs to find a qb, because AR is not the answer. Love the kid, but he needs to change positions if he wants a career in pro football.
seems like it. I’m not smart enough to apportion blame on scheme vs players, but when Gorvan has a dude wrapped up 2 yards deep and the RB turns it into a 40rd run, can’t blame the DC. I’m not convinced that any of these dudes other than 52 are legit SEC players, much less dogs
Top ten classes will fix our clock management for sure. I could not care less what anyone does in the NFL.
Why Napier would come into a P5 with a coordinator who has zero experience at the position is a big red flag. . Toney is way and I mean way over his head . Hope he can make that switch. We will definitely see what kind of CEO Napier is after this year
I think Napier is a positive leader, and wants to win more than anyone else in the stadium. But the notion that head coaches have no pressure on them when they because they are instantly financially secure for life and are guaranteed even a greater nest egg with buyouts can’t be disputed.
I will dispute it 100% of the time anyone applies it to our HBC. Period. Even insinuating it is ridiculous.
There's more than enough evidence that points to lack of elite players. Emotional, lazy posters want to blame the coaches after half a year.
