AR can throw dimes however, I see WRs often close together with little spacing, not sure if that’s bad routes or bad route tree.

The defense is dead last in FBS in 3rd down defense - #131. Also, we're 106th in total defense and tied with Vandy for #121 in 1st downs given up, 91st in passing efficiency defense and 77th in scoring defense. This is a horrible defense and it's going to take time and a bunch of new blood to turn it around.

 

I went back and read some of the great reviews of the Toney hire and his defensive philosophies from several different sources. Have to say, haven't seen what was advertised by the media or players.

Young guy, only his third year as a DC and first in the SEC. Doesn't mean he cant get the job done, but not much history of having to make adjustments and a pretty weak resume of football schools. A more experienced co-DC would have made a lot of sense. Still time.

 

I don't see dimes, I see bullets with no touch just like last year. Electric runner at times, but ....Never understood how all those folks last year thought he was a Heisman candidate. Most of those posters seem to have disappeared anyway.
Feel sorry for the kid, expectations for hometown kid way too high.

 

The first TD last night was a dime.
As was the first one against Wash.
Those are two that come to mind right off the bat.

 

You see what confirms your priors. He's definitely thrown some very pretty balls. Unfortunately he's also thrown a number of crap balls. If he gets his head right he's a Heisman candidate. But that's a big if.

When you have a defense that’s ranked dead last in the country in any category fans should be a bit concerned.

 

The SEC is unforgiving and you noticed you said 3 and 4 stars, not 5 stars. Alabama and Georgia are playing with 5 stars and highly-ranked 4 stars.

 

I’m surprised we don’t have more linebacker commits.

I thought it was after the shellacking by Bama that got Urban to change his personnel to add the FB?

 

When they play aggressive, they still don’t get to the qb, so it can make things worse
