He’ll ridiculously be leaving with a massive chest full of gold when that happens. His 10yr fully guaranteed $95mil contract runs through 2031. smh

Tigers head football coach Brian Kelly would be fired by LSU if not for $10.5 million recruit | Sporting News

People really need to lay off the Florida fans are insufferable narrative. They had back to back 10 win seasons and are now having a little turbulence and the fan base is ready to burn it down. If ANY major program suffered our past 15 years they would be miserable.

At first Baugh's 55 yard TD run looked like a broken play to me?
Looks like he (Baugh) ran the wrong way at first.
Was it a well executed misdirection?
After watching it I'm still not sure?
    What say you?

FYI: Not excited about the Noon start against Ole Miss.
Also, would have never believed I would be this ecstatic about being 5-5, never!

Watching on TV it seemed louder than it should have been when we had the ball. Were the LSU fans that loud? Maybe the TV mics were close to the corn dogs?

That would be ESPN pumping sound in. Do you remember during Cov how the stadiums were still loud on TV with no one in the stands?

It was a misdirection play and the second time it had been ran. I believe Montrell got around 10 on that play the first time.

It wasnt even a player or two. The sacks came from so many different guys. It was just relentless effort from all.

DJ Lagway was playing on one leg and still found a way to pull the win out with his teammates. Lagway is a special player. One healthy leg was enough. Definitely the next Tim Tebow type of player in terms of team leadership and size at 6'3"/240. The difference is he is a better passer at this stage than Tim was, and he runs more strategically rather than like a bull in a China shop.

Insofar as coaching is concerned, the Gators D was consistently out of position to get the Tigers off the field allowing what seemed like a season's worth of 3rd and 4th and longs. Fortunately, the Gator D also got 7 sacks, one more than LSU had allowed all season. The Gator D played well when they were in position to make plays which wasn't often, but enough to win the game, bend but don't break. Brian Kelly significantly outcoached Billy Napier.

Time of possession and number of plays tells it all. LSU dominated. That is good coaching by Brian Kelly. LSU did everything except get into the endzone. The Gators D played just well enough for Napier to pull off a miracle.

    --------------------LSU----------Florida

    Poss. Time--------41:43--------18:17

    Plays--------------92------------43

    3rd. Down Conv. 13 of 24------3 of 9

    4th. Down Conv.--2 of 4--------0 of 0

The miracle is the Gators were even in the game let alone had the chance to win the game. Going on stats, LSU had the superior coaching and players. I'm chalking it up to homefield advantage.

The Gators have been playing improved football against what most experts claim is the toughest schedule in the nation. Other than the embarrassing loss to Miami to open the season, the Gators have been in every game they played. I don't count at Texas as UF had our 3rd string QB from an Ivy League school playing as QB. The Gators out played Tennessee in Knoxville only to have Billy Napier give the game away with poor coaching. The Gators had the poodles in a tussle until Lagway injured his leg in the middle of the 2nd quarter. Bottom line, this team isn't the same embarrassment of a team that Napier fielded in his first two seasons. It was good enough to gut out a win over ranked LSU. Gator Nation should be happy this morning.

I'm looking forward to Lame Kitten and Ole Miss next week. I wish it was a night game, but it's on ABC at noon so UF will be given national coverage again.

yea, LSU is hurting right now, lost 3 in a row -- needed a miracle and a phantom call to be south carolina.
hate to say it, but gator nation will need to root for lsu the rest of the season, because if they lose to vandy and OK, this win on paper really isn't that great.

At the end of the day, they are an average football team 3-3 in conference and 6-4 overall all with a loss to a terrible USC team.

These are the FIGHTING Gators, they could have given up after a few losses, they could have folded on D, but the entire team played with heart and enthusiasm, we wanted it more. Character does matter. I believe brighter days are ahead.
