Driskel, the entire OL was basically drafted in 2015 (plus Halapio in 2014). Plus some skill guys beforehand Regardless I didn’t mean my comment as a defense of Champ. More of a comment that he actually had offensive talent and he screwed it up. Scheme and mindset is incredibly important which is why people simply saying “we don’t have the players” are sorely mistaken. We have many guys on our current offense that will play on Sundays
Okay. As far as we have many guys on our current offense that will play on Sunday, most of them are underclasmen and currently without much experience. Of our 2 deep only three are seniors with a handful of juniors and the rest sophomores and freshman. Makes for pretty much the results we see on Saturdays at this time.
Thanks so much, Disney Gator. I did say we would not win conference USA. In no regard was this directed towards next year's team. The reality is we are closer to Vanderbilt than Alabama. That is the here and now, not next year. Maybe respond (or don't) with accurate takes, especially if you're selectively lifting my posts.
The thing is qbing is more than being highly athletic or a great runner. He is a very good runner when he wants to however there are moments when for whatever reason he chooses not to. My concern has always been with his inconsistent passing. My other concern as has been posted is that BN will stick with AR next year no matter what. We've seen this play before. But having said that I hope it works out for AR and glad for your optimism.
IMO the 3rd quarter is a prime example, as good as he is if he's a willing runner, sure helps open up other avenues for the O. Why that wasn't in the first half game plan is a mystery to me.
Well of course QB is a lot of subtle things. It's his first year in a new offense. It doesn't take a lot of optimism to think he will get better. I don't even think it takes a lot of optimism to think he'll get a lot better.
