I know BN wants to be balanced, but I think its clear the way forward is on Mertz' arm. He's proven he's ready to take the next step from game manager into game changer.

TE being available changes this offense completely. Looks like Napier adjusted and took more shots. Downfield Passing game much better.
Second half and end of 1st half adjustments better. Use of clock and time outs better. All the credit for those things goes to all the gators, who have been complaining, you/we clearly won that game.
Also, the fight these teams show, the heart Mertz and the team shows- clearly paid off.
Defense gotta get their weight up. They’re young.

 

Entertaining. Would love to see the O keep up this style and aggressiveness. Mertz with a lower completion %, but who cares, pushing the ball downfield and we put up 41.

 

He's a Junior. Strong chance he returns to up his stock and win something with this team.

How about the heads up play by a true freshman to grab the ball after being tipped by Pearsall. Can’t coach that. Wilson is incredible!

Agreed. A road win was a hurdle, and a comeback to boot. Great game!

The plus side is there is lots of room for improvement. Lots of teaching moments.
