I think we kept the trophy even tho they wrongly stripped the title away after the fact-that's why I dislike most all the teams in the SEC now
Today is the day, for me anyway, that Napier replaced low expectations with realistic expectations. I'm nowhere near high expectations. I had low expectations for this team this year but with a win at home against Tennessee and win on the road against USC, now I expect them to at least be very competitive or beat the Missouri's and Arkansas' of the world, and maybe even FSU at home, but still get handled by Georgia and LSU. This is a bowl worthy team that is growing up before our eyes.
They interviewed Ricky and GM after the game, they joked that it was totally planned! A couple of funny guys!
Boom!!! It counts! The league would have never taken anybody else’s championship. And that lying cheater Mike Dubose of Alabama is still wearing his SEC championship ring from 1999. 84 counts! I will go to my grave counting it! Don’t get me started I don’t want to hijack this thread by talking about 84 after such a great Gator win tonight. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
Just a note. I went to the Gamecocks message board on rivals. They were mentioning the refs helping them during the game, so we weren't overly sensitive.
Me too, still framed! And the coke bottles! “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
Six games into a new offense with a lot of young players. He might know 90% of the offense. He might blossom next year.
I totally count 1990, too. Those allegations were bogus and unsupported, and they only decided to make us ineligible when they saw how good we were doing that year.
They may have stripped that title, but we all know who the 1984 SEC champs were: The Florida Gators, dammit!
I liked the quick slants, those take some trust between the coach and the qb and the receiver, but they can really help move the chains.
The HBC spoke this week from the mountain top. He very rarely speaks about his Gators. He gave a cryptic message about "opening up" the game, talking about receivers running all over the field. Is it coincidence CBN mentions this in one of his pressers, saying his wife heard it? CBN, to his credit, let everything loose today.. We had receivers running all over the filed. Kudos to CBN, he showed me he's the right guy to lead in the coming years. He said on the field post game, "better days are ahead". I believe.
After this INT which sealed the victory for the Gators... watch the Gator fan in the stand in the middle of the screen. He looks like he's in fast-forward doing the Gator Chomp.
