Still a freshman whether redshirt or not. The point still remains, protect your QB and hope your defense doesn't do something embarrassing like give up a 4th and 17 conversion.
Hence... my point. I still think we were a very physical team today, and never once did I feel like we were getting pushed around like some games this season. We played like we were on fire... and our team deserved to win that game.
We can use it for the QB position since Max hasn't played that much during the season, but I agree that the other players have to start showing progress.
It is situational. At that point in time, who thought we weren’t going to run it up the middle? Rollout Brown and give him a run/pass option. If the pass isn’t wide ass open, then get what you can and go down. We were too predictable in that situation.
Well, I’ll just ask him; I’m playing golf with my Uncle Steve tomorrow. I’ll report back what he says.
I did like how Max came into a hostile situation and played better than even a seasoned Milton did against the same defense.
I like how you just assume whatever hypothetical play call you make up works brilliantly. The coaches don't have this luxury. Your evaluation boils down to if it worked it was good and if it didn't it was bad, so there's no point in discussing further.
Less about experience and more about S&C. Freshman lineman versus Junior/Senior lineman. Who do you think wins in the trenches?
Thank you. I was yelling at the TV that there should have been a runoff, but this explains that. Man, UF was unlucky there. Maybe wasn't the difference in the game but would have helped for sure.
Our offense is good. Good. Not great. If we just had a “normal” defense at least it would be an “Outback Bowl” type team. The D just can’t turn the corner ever since it collapsed under Mullen in 2020. The only good thing is tons of young guys getting experience. But we are also bad enough that every job should be open next year and every position is a “position of need” in recruiting/portal.
The last drive was 5 seconds...but SOS could have scored and brushed his teeth and still had 4 seconds left.
