I'll add Stoops is probably Top 2 HBC in the SEC right now. What he has done at Kentucky hasn't been done in the SEC ever. Yes Saban turned things around at Bama but Bama is Bama, but Kentucky. To do what he has done at Kentucky, with the facilities, with the recruiting, with the hires and then with game day, no one will be able to woo him away. He essentially is Bear Bryant right now at Kentucky. He's doing the impossible, making fans depressed heading into basketball season.
Meantime, Colorado nearly engineered a comeback for the ages vs USC. Colorado has true freshman playing like future NFL stars.
Watching some of the lowlights on sec net. The gator defense flat out looked scared of Davis. They were almost getting out of his way at times.
I thought his jump was no different then what you'd see a D-lineman do trying bat a pass down at the line of scrimmage
We’ve been about the Auburn of the East since Cam went pro. Some really good years, some really bad years.
The difference in programs already is eye opening. Deion has transfers and left overs playing hard and competing with USC. A team he has no business being on the field with. Meanwhile Napier keeps losing to Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
I don't know... but Johnson didn't look like the same bruiser he was last year. Etienne can at least make people miss and juke for yards after first contact. Johnson has been less than he was last year.
The teams we face have more than enough staff to watch film and find the patterns to exploit. Edit: mods, you can sweep things under the rug, but they are still there. Meanwhile your behavior is noted.
I think what annoys me most about the loss is that I had about a dozen posts between this board and another bookmarked about us "losing" Leary and settling for Mertz ready to talk SO MUCH trash. Leary went like 9/20 for 69 yards and they still won lol. Mertz outplayed him but still couldn't manage to make the plays necessary to win. And, of course, Mertz isn't responsible for tackling Davis
Per the NCAA "It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight up without attempting to leap over the opponent."
I don't care how you win as long as you win...the BN way...the SS way.....the UM way...all work. It's the wins...
